Airfix are due to announce surprise releases throughout the year. The new tooled Chinook, B-24 and Bulldog are due the first half of the year.
This is possibly one of those surprises.
I see the Ju-52 as the most likely off that list

Just wanted to post that Jadlam has discounted a load of airfix kits including the 1/48 Navy Buccaneer for under £50
https://www.jadlamracingmodels.com/airfix-a05135-supermarine-spitfire-xiv-1-48-aircraft-model-kit/

plus more. You need to look through the range to find the others,

Releasing a limited edition SM-79 Sparviero and using an awful limited-run Ex Classic Airframes tooling instead of doing a collaboration with Trumpeter for their plastic. Poor choice

Revell slowing going down hill now.

I’m with @wellsprop on this one. The model looks marvellous and normally I’d be first in line in the queue. It clearly surpasses the old Revell 1/32 kit in detail. Then again I suspect the price point of the Border kit surpasses the Revell kit too !!
What I am struggling with is why Border are going for a range in 1/35 when that seems not to be hugely different in scale size to 1/32? Have they ever explained their preferred scale choice for their range ?
I can see the sense of 1/72; 1/48; 1/32 and 1/24 for aircraft models but why introduce 1/35 into the mix? One might just as easily start a 1/76 range of aircraft or even just revert half a century or more to box scale again. 1/96 anyone?
I must in fairness concede 1/35 for say some types eg Ju87 to sit beside your Panther or Tiger in a diorama but that’s a limited market 🤔 maybe?
So as the 111 won’t sit well alongside my 1/32 Luftwaffe kits and I have 2 Revell kits to build with a shedload of aftermarket Border won’t get my cash this time round.
Sad to say the same applies to the others on offer which I deeply regret as they do seem to be producing stunning kits. Just why in a scale that’s non industry standard and lacks compatibility?
I feel it is 100% to fit in with 1/35 armor, figures, etc for diorama purposes. I think they are 100% filling a gap in the market with this as 1/32 vehicles and figures are much harder to source. They are not only increasing sales for their kits but also bolstering their competitors in one fell swoop as now models can buy the aircraft from Border, the figures from miniart and the vehicles from Tamiya as an example to build an awesome 1/35 diorama

Just seen on border models facebook an announcement of a new tool He-111 in 1/35 scale along with all the CAD designs.

Have you ever picked up a kit that looks so good out of the box that you want to start it immediately?
This Gannet kit is absolutely stunning, just picked up might from the LMS

i really wish these firms stopped using resin and produced these kits in injection moulding. Won't touch resin and this is another subjet i want to build

I hate it when its a subject I'm really looking for in the prefect scale but then made of resin which is something I won't work with,

You did not specify a scale, your sig block would indicate 1/48 but you should include your preferred scale in the thread or comment, and what variant (assuming this matters to you).
Most people have assumed 1/48 but I think Takom have the best Apache kits currently but they are in 1/35 IMO based on the level of detail, the kit engineering and the options including open EFAB and engine access bays, blade fold options and weapons included.
I cannot comment on parts fit but having built Takom kits previously I can say that their engineering is pretty good and I would expect a similar level of quality
cheers,
Pappy
That Pappy, that question was posted 10 years ago, since then I've build two apaches. So its kind of illrelivant now lol. But i was actually meaning all scales.

I've seen this new kit come out of the blue.
In 1/35 scale diorama complete with T-rex, Jeff Goldblum, and base. You are able to build an icon scene from the original first movie. Very left field, not something we would usually see.

Yeah, I've been doing reviews from both companies, and just got my knickers knotted for a sec. I've corrected it now Someone on FB mentioned it as a "MASSIVE" mistake. Slightly lacking in perspective there
Yeah, That might have been me being a little overzealous, Sorry about that

Can't find any stock in the UK yet

I might have to do a 1/48 Il-2 series with all the available kits from Zvezda, Tamiya, Accurate miniatures and now Trumpeter

Italeri lost a great deal of respect from me when they cancelled their 1/48 Merlin HC3 kit back in the late 2000s.
The 1/32 Folgore does interest me though, hopefully they use decals for the smoke rings, but I don't bank on anything until its on the shelf

Went in to Hobby craft in Plymouth last weekend.
All the Revell kits were not priced up, so picked up a few to price up at the till. Some kits were still at 50% off, even now in mid January. I picked up the Revell 1/32 F-4G wild weasel for £30. Bargain as it was £59.99 originally before the recent price hike.

Highly unlikely as the RAF don't operate the Apache 😉
Doh, I meant a British army version

Any idea if any of the boxings include an RAF version?

Trago Mills in Liskeard, Falmouth in Cornwall, Newton Abbot (Devon) and Merthyr Tydfil in Wales all have their Jan sales starting now, they all have decent toy departments with a good stock of model kits.
They are already quite competitive for price but now there is a further 15% off everything in store.
The sales are only on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays though.

What I see Revell doing here is they are releasing the initial kit as either a premier edition or technik edition. What I imagine is the sales of those ranges are quite poor, so maybe if we released a new flagship or signature release kit of 2023 as a technik or premier edition it will boost sales more than the base kit

Ok, If its HK models we need to look at their kit history to be able to work out the direction they are going,
Lancasters, B-17s, B-25, A-20, D0-335. They are going down a path of large scale prop aircraft and I'm thinking the Beaufighter is extremely obvious if we are going down their usual path
