This brings back so many memories of my uncle's 1966 Seven from about 1971 - his was that green as well, with the curved wings. That fixed seat, aluminium interior, and that engine looks familiar as well. His had a 1500 Cosworth engine with two twin coke Weber carburetors. Very low to the ground, it was VERY fast. Biggest problem was that it broke at least two axles in the about two years he had it.

A question about the Matchbox Privateer
theplasticsurgeon replied to Steve N's topic in Aircraft WWII
Not according to Scalemates. https://www.scalemates.com/products/product.php?id=132710 Not in the one that I built I understand that Commando was very much a one-off aircraft, notably with round engine cowlings. Others will have further details -

Here's a link to an airliner conversion that I did in 2009: http://www.arcforums.com/forums/air/index.php?showtopic=178434 Others have mentioned the wing fences. I left alone the engine mounts.

This has been talked about previously: http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234915421-f-5-lightning/ and http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234964161-revell-p-38-lm-to-f-5-recon-lightning/ And here's my non-specific F-5B, at altitude in that Azure Blue scheme

Wonderful looking model - well done Orion. I've got one of these built, and another bagged Revell kit in the stash. Very tempted to start it now.

Tim's Airfix Lightning F2A
theplasticsurgeon replied to theplasticsurgeon's topic in E.E. Lightning Single Type Group Build
It's something I read about in Fine Scale Modeller, and have seen at Telford. I use the dusting (fingerprint) powder, but it's similar to SJN polishing powder. My technique is to airbrush the subject in silver, then when it's almost dry, I rub in the dusting powder with a cotton bud. Still wet - and I get a gooey mess. Too dry and the powder doesn't stick - I usually allow about an hour's drying time. First time I done this in a long time - I'm quite pleased with the results. I then allow another 4-5 hours setting in the airing cupboard, then a really thin quick coat of Klear to seal prior to decals. I applied it with an old tee-shirt on this occasion. Anyway I applied the major decals tonight. -

Dr Tim - specialising in surgery. But this morning I ventured into a VERY COLD shed with my airbrush. Looking a bit dull, I rubbed on some dusting powder, before unmasking. Going for decals later tonight. -
