  1. Here's a review I wrote for another forum. http://modelingmadness.com/review/civil/mansconnie.htm I built both the TWA Super Connie and the MATS Constellation.
  2. It's been acquired for Jet Age museum - where I'm a volunteer. No details yet on when it will arrive at Staverton, but I'll get photos.
  3. Well I didn't enter the KITA GB - and that Saturn would have been an idael project. MiG21s - well not my thing so none in my stash. F-86 Sabres, I was swamped with other projects at the time. So the RAF Sabre I had planned, remains in my stash. WW1 - again not really my thing - so nothing in my stash to qualify.
  4. Absolutely tremendous - such an imaginative display very well done. Minor ask. Could you photograph with a black/dark backdrop to make it look like night?
  5. I've just seen a comment on another forum by someone who DID use superglue with foil - successfully. Applied with a toothpick - a clean one please Pat. Not tried this myself, so you're going to have to show us how this turns out.
  6. PM if you need decals. I've just completed the same kit as a Seafire Ib - hence have an unused set of decals. Oh, and welcome to Britmodeller.
  7. The engines defined if it was an F-4 or an F-5. Pictures of both earlier on this thread. The A-B etc came from the camera fit, and associated bulges.
  8. A new bit of foil is probably for the best Pat. Not a modelling secret, this is one of Tim's Top Tips: The adhesive I use is commercially available from Little Cars - formula probably is secret. In the absence of that - I'd try brushing some enamel varnish on the back of the foil - then roll it on when almost dry. I burnish it down with a cotton bud (clean). This finds the seam between the nosering and the aircraft - so I can run the scalpel around to trim the excess. Same at the front end. I use a longish wide strip to go around, and started and finished at the probe underneath - to conceal the edges. No it's not folded into the nose.
  9. That's kitchen foil glued on - sets it off quite nicely. I got some foil adhesive from Little Cars a few years ago.
  10. Matt, Whilst you're waiting, take a peruse at this Revell Victor I built in 2008: http://www.arcforums.com/forums/air/index.php?showtopic=145652 As others have said, same kit at different times.
  11. Scroll back to the top - I've just added two Airfix 1/72 Seafires, and two GMC Trucks.
  12. Couple of qualifying entries in my stash Me262B, P-61 Black Window, and a few others - it's time. Picture added 06 Dec 2017.
  13. All your questions answered here: - well my kit had no etch http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/48914-italeri-messerschmitt-bf110g4/ Kit doesn't contain bullet proof screen either.
  14. Reporting in for duty with this Airfix Tomahawk. As yet unopened Can anyone let me know if this kit has a pilot figure?
  15. And now for my previous P-40s. First the Academy P-40E. Next the Academy P-40M. Academy P-40B Flying Tiger. Airfix P-40E - with Academy decals. Another Airfix - can't remember the source for those decals, BUT SharkMouth.
  16. In with this Fujimi 1/72 Sea King. Most likely an OOB build
  17. Setting out my stall with this recent Airfix Tomahawk II kit. As yet unopened. This will be an OOB build - unless other decals come my way
  18. I've just collected an Airfix fabric wing Hurricane from Hepster. Aldi special - thanks Rob. This is the survivor residing in the Science Museum, and a veteran of Dunkirk and the Battle of Britain. I'm in!
  19. Bidding you all farewell, have fun with the rest of the GB, this is Tim signing out. These are the photos I've just posted to the gallery.
