  1. Looks like a AVRO Anson from which the photos were made. Look at the lower-right photo. That looks like a Anson to me. Hans The Nertherlands
  2. Very nice looking Hellcat. But maybe you should take a look at the undercarriage-covers. It's looks to me they're on the wrong legs and should be the other way around. Hans The Netherlands
  3. Looking at some photographs I wonder did the RAF fly with one pilot on the B-17?
  4. Found this video last month. Somewhere in this video a LGB is dropped: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GxVk4Iuq550
  5. Try this thread: http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234999662-meteors/page-10 Hans The Netherlands
  6. The Mosquito with the torpedo is a Yugoslavian Air Force example. "In October 1953, testing was undertaken with TR-54/A-torpedoes mounted on FBVIs. The torpedo bombing trials were succesful, so in 1954 four FBVI's of the 97th Aviation Regiment were converted to carry the TR-54/A-torpedo." (p.146) (from: De Havilland Mosquito; An illustrated history / Stuart Howe.- Crecy, 1999) Hans The Netherlands
  7. It's a fuel dump/ vent. I found it on a cutaway-drawing. Hans The Netherlands
  8. From my example of Putnam's book Curtiss Aircraft 1907-1947 by Peter M. Bowers: "H75R-The 75A/75J demonstrator fitted with still another external supercharger arrangement and submitted to the US Army for test in January 1939, but the turbo-supercharged Seversky XP-41 (converted from the last P-35) was chosen instead and went into production as the P-43." The book contains a side-view photo of the same aircraft. Hans The Netherlands
  9. I think I'll go with the US Interior Green color. Looks to me most credible. Thanks for the replies. Hans The Netherlands
  10. I want to built a Harvard IIb (Monogram / Revell-kit) used by the Dutch Air Force during 1947. What cockpit-color should I use? Interior Green (US color) or RAF Cockpit Grey / Green. Hans Weijand The Netherlands
  11. Try Tamiya's Grumman Wildcat. I 've buitl one without problems only to find out that airbrushing requires some preparation. Hans The Netherlands
  12. Nice builds. Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands was not the husband of Queen Wilhelmina. By the time war came to our country her husband, Prince Hendrik, had been dead for six years. Prince Bernhard was married to Princes Juliana her daughter our later Queen.
  13. I also have this cowling and I'm not sure it's going to help. But Tom Cleaver did a nice job with minimal work on the nose over at Modelingmadness.com: http://modelingmadness.com/review/allies/cleaver/gb/tmc14e.htm Hans The Netherlands
  14. The new 1/72 Sea Harrier FA2 from Airfix has got a pair. You could also try the old Hasegawa-kit it contains a pair of these missiles IIRC.
