Hi everybody! For today, this is my last FW-190 model. This is the Tamiya kit, build OOB and with the same mistakes like the FW-190 A3. I think it`s time to make some bases to represent my models. The A8 ist airbrushed freehand with model master colours and a light wash with burnt umbra water colour. The exhaust stains was made with pastel chalks and for the seat I used Eduard shoulder harness. It´s fun to build the Tamiya FW-190 and on my workbench there are another A8 and D9 model. Regards, Udo. PS: The next antenna wire for a bubble hood version are laying down and after the hood.

Hi everybody! Not a butcher bird again, but this is one of my favourite aircraft from WWII. The Tamiya model was build OOB, airbrushed freehand with model master enamels and Eagle Strike Decals. Two mistakes are on that bird. At first I forgot the second antenna wire to the fuselage and second I don`t change the main tires with someone from the after market. I hope you like it, Cheers, Udo. PS: The base plate are be finished in the near future and sorry for the brightened pics.

A-4F Skyhawk - Hasegawa 1/48th
Jabo31 replied to Peter Marshall's topic in Ready for Inspection - Aircraft
Hi Peter! Very impressive work. I liked the used look of the Skyhawk. The weathering is not to heavy, almost right. The only Thing what I missed, is a drop tank at the centerline station. I think that gave the A-4 another look. Hope to see more of your excellent work. Regards, Udo. -
Hi everybody! Is there actual a Boeing 747-200 in scale 1/144 out there. I know that Airfix and Revell has this models out there for a few decades. Any comment would be helpful. Thanks in advance, Udo.

Hi Liam! The old Monogram Kit (new Revell Tiger Meet Kit) has only the C2 seat in the box, never seen the MB GQ7 Seat in it, so this kit can build in a CF-104 Version. What you need is the IFR Fairings at the aft fuselage and under the nose. The tyres and the flat doors of the main undercarriage of the kit are OK for the CF-104. Regards, Udo.

Hi everybody! Here are some pics of two of my 1/12 model bikes. The Honda is from Tamiya and the Kawasaki are from Revell. Build OOB and air brushed with Dupli Color Car Colour. The Engines and other little Details are painted with brush. The Numberplate are from our region and made with Corel Draw. Regards, Udo.

Hi everybody! Here are a very old model, build a few years ago. I think the kit shows his age. The model is from Tamiya and build OOB. It was planed for a winter dio, but I never build it. Now the SdKfz 251 is dirty and needs a car wash. Painted with Humbrol colours and washed with burnt umbra oil colours. White chalk is used for the snow camo and the mud are fine earth from a bird cage. I hope you like it. Regards, Udo. PS: The tarpaulin is made with foil from old wine bottles. Some parts must be changed in the near future.

Hi everybody! One of my last models. Tamiya Spitfire Vc Tropical Version in US Markings. Build OOB with Eduard PE seat belts. Used colour are from the Revell RAF enamel set. Decals are from Eagle Strike and of course free hand airbrushed. Regards, Udo. PS: I know, the black walkway lines are silvering a little bit and I used the wrong colour for the ? I don`t know the English word for red thing in the door.

Hi everybody! Your on the right side. I mean feehand airbrushed. Same are masked, but the green camouflage splotches are freehand airbrushed. OK, English is not my best thing, sorry for that. At the weekend I will show you some other examples, a Spitfire Vb and two FW-190. Regards, Udo.

HI everybody! After a break of more than ten years, I build this nice Hasegawa model OOB. I only added some Eduard seat belts on it. Freehand painted with Agama and Tamiya colours, and the result is what you see. Regards, Jabo31.

Hi everybody! I have the follows on the workbench, but they are all from 2007 and I hope that I finished some of the kits this year. It is a F-4 EJ Kai Phantom II from Hasegawa, a FJ-4B Fury from Hobby Boss, F-104 G Starfighter from Hasegawa, P-47 D Thunderbolt from Accademy, F-105 G Thunderchief from Revell, F-84F Thunderstraek from Monogram, F-84 E from Revell, Spitfire Mk Vb from Tamiya, Bf 109 K4 from Fujimi and I will start my F-86 F40 from Hasegawa. All Kits in scale 48 only the Sabre are in 32 scale, but I know myself, I will start a few kits more this year and I`m sure I will be finished some. The reason? now I got a new work place, I mean a new room. My daughter left our house so there is more space for my hobby. Cheers and a happy new year to all britmodeler members. sincerely yours, Udo.

Hi everybody! I got a question for all the specialist here. My Academy P-47 in scale 1/48 is ready to brush, but I´m not sure about the color in the wheel bay. Some says it is zinc chromate yellow and other says it is zinc chromate green. What is right? In some publications I saw pics with both colors. In the squadron walk around magazine they show some restored a/c with green wheel bay and on the black and white photos it`s not easy what color they used. Maybe I hope it helps, my model will be an British P-47 from the SEA campaign. Hope someone could help. Thanks in advance. Cheers, Udo.

Hello! A reel nice looking JG71 Bird and it was built on a high level, congratulations. It`s good to some german a/c here on britmodeler, but let me say one word. I have found a little mistake, but the model will be done great, with or without that. The JG71 never used the sidewinder and the rails on it`s a/c. In some a/c publications I read that only the JG73 used this armament for intercepter missions. I hope I will see more a/c models from you, looks like the real one. Cheers, Udo.
