  1. Hello everybody! My Trumpeter Stryker Model wait for the finish, but I`m not sure if colour I could used. The Instructions says Gunze or Mr. Colour, but I don`t have them and want to use, I`m a Enamel Junkie, Humbrol or Model Master colours. Anybody out there are knowing the numbers of Humbrol or any other equivalent enamel colour? The second question is about the LAV-Recovery Vehicle. The instruction shows the US Marines three tone colour scheme, but I don`t like any more. Are the recovery vehicles used in the second gulf war? and they are in typical desert scheme? I can`t find any pics of that LAV. Many thanks in advance, Udo.
  2. Hi Jim! That looks like a real aircraft, but the background of the pics are a little bit unlucky. I think you did a very good Job, but please make new pics ao we can see more of your very attractive model. Regards, Udo.
  3. Hello! Awesome NMF scheme. I wish I could this two of one of my P-47. What kind of coulor did you use? Congaratulations for this outstanding model. Regards, Udo.
  4. Hello everybody! Here are my last finished kit. At this morning I added at last the tires and the prop. The a/c is from VF-20, Oct. 1944 and paint in the Glossy Sea Blue camo. OK, the gloss is lost and I prefer mor used aircraft's. Here are some pics. Regards, Udo. PS: Colour used from Humbrol, for me one of the best Glossy Sea Blue paints, Etched parts are from the kit, gun barrels are from ? (I don`t know the word) and some pigments. PS: My model has made an emergency landing on a grass strip. Sorry, I haven`t any carrier display base.
  5. Hello! Thanks to the support, but now I`m not sure about the interior colour. Is there anybody who knows that? Thanks in advance, Udo.
  6. Hello everybody! I planed to build the Revell Lancaster BIII into a postwar RCAF Mk10 MR. I got a question about the inner wheel bays. For the wartime Lancaster Revell`s instruction said black, should this colour used also on the postwar Lancasters? Anyone has the correct colours for me. Thanks in advance, Udo.
  7. Hello everybody! Today I put the camouflage on my 109 and it follows only two or three pics here in the building report before the model goes in to the gallery. This Bf109 E3 was flown by Oblt. E. Riebe from the 2/JG77, Odendorf 1940. Only one Photo exists and on profile from the same side. I used for the wings the standard Luftwaffe splinter camo and on the fuselage the a/c was only coloured in RLM71 with big wavy lines. After drying I will added future floor wax and after that I put the decals on it. Some washing and glueing some little parts of the kit, they will be go strictly in the gallery. Regards, Udo.
  8. Hello everybody! After some problems with my airbrush, I removed the paint and sprayed the new RLM65 and added the main gear but I was wondering why the 109 looks like a stork. The main gear are definitely to long, round about 3,50 mm. After a cut it looks more than a 109 like before. The Oil cooler is also to big in the height, but I will fix this problem with the next kit. The antenna wire was attached and the colour for it and the Insulators follows if the camouflage is sprayed on the kit. I know, that`s not the right way to build a model, but for the rest of work I can live with that. Regards, Udo. PS: About the length of the main gear, I follows Hasegawas 109 G legs with their length. I hope that`s right and of course, I am not a BF109 Specialist.
  9. Hello everybody! After a busy weekend, I found some time to brushed my BF 109, but the disaster follows when I`m so hurry. After the first coat of RLM65 I sprayed the RLM02 and RLM71, but the result was not what I thinking about a satisfied camouflage scheme. Round about, I remove the paint with Revell Aqua Cleaner and sprayed again RLM65, without preshading on the fuselage and wings. I`ll be happy when this kit is finished and can go on in the gallery. Here are three pics with the new RLM65 paint. Regards, Udo.
  10. Hello everybody! Here are some progress pictures of my Bf 109. The fuselage are together and the wings are glued to them. The exhaust stains are now finished in the right colour and the seat with the harness are finished and on his place. Today I make a the pre shading, but I think it`s a little bit to strong, but RLM 65 will follows ant eliminate the most of the pre shading. Regards, Udo. PS: Anybody knows what colour the brake lines are. I brushed it like the main gear in RLM02, but I can change it to black or what else, if the tires are not glued.
  11. Hi Pete! Really nice Atlantic scheme, clean build and of cource very good air brushed. Someone here who knows what kind of Version the Tamiya Wildcat I can use for a FAA Bird? Regrads, Udo.
  12. Hello everybody! No Time for building models, but here is a little update of the exhaust pipes. I used a brown enamel primer at first, then the new washing from AK Active and at last a mix of pigments, but here you can see how unbelievable the macro modus of the camera is. I think I must mixed a little bit more black in the rust pigments, its to bright for me. If this is completely dry, I can closed the fuselage and glued the wings on it. At the weekend more pics will follows. Thanks for looking. Regards, Udo.
  13. Hello everybody! Only a little update and sorry for the bad pictures. At first one of the front panel and I`am not sure if this was really black. For me it`s a little bit to dark and I`m thinking I will change it to RLM66 black/grey. The second shows the exhaust that are now glued in position and waiting for his colour. More in the next days. Regards, Udo.
  14. Hello Hacker! Really a nice build and I love it when the modeller make some of the parts himself. I will look forward to the Tiger Moth and I hope I can learn a little bit for my Moth. Good start, my Respect. Regards, Udo.
  15. Hello everybody! Just a little Update for today. I washed the interior a little bit and fixed the dashboard? What`s the right name for it? Tomorrow I will fixed brushed the exhaust pipes but before I must airbrushed the place around the exhausts, it`s impossible to mask the exhausts. So here is a poor picture, but tomorrow I will share more good photos with you. Cheers, Udo.
  16. Hello everybody! So, the first oil change is done and the mechanic was a lot of mess. Since most of the pot was leaking. It will follow on the engine a few cosmetic repairs, otherwise I find the result OK. Regards, Udo. PS: The ring radiator? is naturally processed yet, is only loosely attached so I could centre the propeller hub, including engine. This is an gooooooooogle translation.
  17. Hello everybody! For today three pics from me and I used some colour for the cockpit. The interior is typical RLM02 with some points of reel colour. After a finish with matt clear coat, I will make a light washing and set some highlights with lighter RLM02. I hope weekend starts a little bit earlier and I can continued with the engine, that I airbrushed with a mix of black and gun metal. Pictures are follows. Regards, Udo. PS: The Trumpi Instruction has no colour code, so anyone knows if the switch box? in black or has it the same colour like the rest of the cockpit?
  18. Hi again! Only one pic of a really little update. I added the main landing gear and the gear doors. Tomorrow I will added some more wire to detail the emptiness. Regards, Udo. PS: The underside after the front landing gear are sprayed with primer to control my sanding.
  19. Hello everybody Here are another building report of one of my models. Object are the 1/32 scale Trumpi Bf-109 E3 kit. I know that the kit has some failure in it`s size, but for me it look like a 109. Started with the cockpit and added some wire. The same on the engine and the engine holder. I hope I can airbrushed the RLM02 tomorrow and I can show you more pics of my progress in this building. Regards, Udo.
  20. Hi all ! @Lieuwe I`m not sure yet, but I think it will be a mix of the JG71 and JG74. In the mid seventies the JG 71 transferred a F-4 to the JG74 and after 100 Missions over Nordfriesland the F-4 became special Zaps around the wing badge. They paint some cows around there and the slogan "Development assistance for Bavaria" so on the left side is the badge from the JG74 and on the right the JG71 Unit badge. The colours are typical Luftwaffe RAL colours. RAl 6014, RAL7012 for the upper side and for the bottom RAl9006 White Aluminium and that´s my problem. I know that Xtra Colour made this, but hate this colours. We will see. Thanks for looking and please I am open for any tip to make my the result on that model better. Regards, Udo.
  21. To all ! Thanks for the friendly comments. @Duncan B I used the Airdoc F-4F Book, some online sites and my eyes, that`s all. Regards, Udo.
  22. Part Two! The Cockpit has it`s first colour. The pics are a little to bright. Sorry, I`m no photographer. Auxiliary doors for the engines. Sorry, my English is to bad and I don`t know much of the right words. Again some Cockpit pics. And here the Monsters in full View. See you next Time.
  23. Hello everybody! For today I will post my first work in progress object. I started the kit a few weeks ago and I don`t build every day on it. I will lost not to much words and show you the pics of the actual build. Under some pics I will write some comments of what I am doing there. Fell free to ask me what you want. Regards, Udo. The Cockpit from Revell has some failure and nothing in it. For this scale that`s eNO Go. Here are my start at the cockpit. After some hours it looks like this. Some work on the cockpit floor. The corrected fin tip. Above the original kit part and down of it the corrected part. Beginning to added some scratch parts of the Main wheel bay. Next Update will follows, for this post I have to much pictures. Regards, Udo.
  24. Hello everybody! I was thinking if I could show you one of my worst models and here it is. It`s the Italeri Kit in scale 1/48, build OOB and freehand airbrushed. The kit has some fit problems but it looks like a Hawk. My choice was to build one in a typical RAF camouflage scheme, not a black one again like all the other Hawks I see in different forums. The Italeri Decals are the best I ever used, so that´s the plus of the Model. I hope you like it a little bit. Regrads, Udo. PS: For the next one I will be spent more time and some after market details and it would be an red/grey/ white one. Sorry for the bad pictures.
