Hello everybody! I'm in such a gradual to put my over the years ongoing projects so gradually completed. Of course there are to make a few compromises in the kits as well as during construction. Here today the old Revell / ESCI kit of the Mirage V. lack alternative, there is unfortunately no other way, but on the whole I'm quite happy to have a beautiful Mirage on the shelf. Of course, promptly made a few mistakes, but except for the missing squadron crest all that remains the case. For a wrap around camouflage still had the parachute housing at the rear to be changed and typical of Belgian Mirage, their large 2250 liter tanks come from another Mirage kit. Decals come from Daco, very good quality, although I am on the left on the fin which is the Nr. 8 a little slip. Today, I would do many things differently, but I was just glad to have the bird now off the table. Translations from me and Mr. Google, sorry for that. Best Regards, Udo.

Hello everybody! Today I start my build of this Kit and after the first look of all the parts, I'm not 100% satisfied with that. Some parts looks like it was the third realease of it and the Tires, I don't know, for me it looks to wide and the front wheels are to small. I'm not a Tornado Specialist, but the Patagon spare wheels looks better for me. The kit parts has no profile. On the fuel tanks, I mean that are some lines are overdone, but I think they are correct in lenght and diameter. All in one it is not a bad kit, but nothing for beginners and I'm disappointed with the decals. Only one version and that must be a party camouflage. Sorry Revell, but That is boaring. I hope the aftermarket will be realease soon as possible more German Tonka Sheets. This kit become from 93 from 100 points. Regards, Udo. PS: Pictures are follows tomorrow in the workbench category.

F-104 G starfighter Italeri 1/72 German
Jabo31 replied to spiton's topic in Ready for Inspection - Aircraft
Hi Spiton! You did a nice job on this little Starfighter and for me it looks like the original. Soory and know we came to the little mistakes, but in fact, the model is your and you may find it OK. About the code, that is right, you must reverse the numbers, but in the scheme the numbers are also wrong and birds for JBG36 are only fly with camo sheme and not in the early days scheme. As example DA+123 or DC+233 and so on. JBG36 has the code DF+. About the recon pod. In some publication there was a lot of recce and travel pods with zips on it, but at the moment I`m not sure if the Luftwaffe used the Orpheus Recce Pod. About the wing badges. There was a handful of Birde they have more than one Badge on it and from two different wings. That was in the periode when the Luftwaffe converted to the Tornado and the overhanging F-104, is that right? goes to other wings. I hope that helps a little bit. Best Regards, Udo. -
Hi Mathias! Absolute nice model of an early Luftwaffe bird and like all your other model, we can see that is an model from Mathias Becker. For me the weathering is a little bit to much, but your models has a specific recognition. Udo. PS: Please more

Jabo31 replied to Serelle's topic in Ready for Inspection - Aircraft
Very nice work of a plane that slowly leave the German sky. Great build and if you did shortened the front wheel legs for about three mm, that was perfect, so it`s only a 1++ A really nice model, you did a absolute good job on it. Udo. -

Hello everybody! I have found a lot of photos for the Wessex here in the forum but is there a specialist that can give me some answers about the specific colours of that type. Italeri said for the interior FS 36270 but for me it looks a little bit to dark and what colour are the for the green? in the back of the seats and the overhead cabin panel. It would be great if anybody has Humbrol numbers for that. Many thanks in advance, Udo.

My respect Sir, a very good Phantom model and this wears my favorite sqn. markings. Any problems with the fit? I got one in stock, but I'm not sure if I start to build it. Udo.

Hello everybody! At this morning it was a little bit boring, so I drive to the near air base and test my camera. For me it was the first time to photograph flying aircraft's, so the pictures are not 100%, but for the first time it`s OK for me. Here is what I got in one hour to stay outside the base. Regards, Udo.

Hi Matthias! I hope I can read more of the built in a future article in the Jet &Prop Magazine. Fantastic model, like all you others. Udo.

Hello everybody! Finished yesterday, but I`m not satisfied with the result. Next week I will replace the antenna wire, the first two exhaust streaks on the left side, why this is a modification within the kit parts and the Moskit set. The Moskit Set was for the old Revell Kit, but I handled it with the kit parts together. The biggest mistake was, to use the Gunze clear coat. There are a lot of little white spots on the wings and the airframe and I don`t know how this will be remove, without to destroy the finish. My Luck, I got another kit in stock. The colours are from Model Master and Humbrol and Harness from Eduard. Better pictures I will added next week. Regards, Udo.
