Airfix 1/72 Seaking HC.4 - 'King of the Junglies
Jabo31 replied to eng's topic in Ready for Inspection - Aircraft
OK, start with the bad comment. There is nothing, only the two little sink marks on the boarding ladder. All in one, that is a superb looking Commando. I`m impressed with the beautiful fine paint job you did on this Helo. 10 from 10 points. Regards, Udo. -

Hi Russ! Weehhh, that looks like a big storm coming over Nam Phong. I hope the maintenance crew close the cockpit right in time. Absolute outstanding model, or is it reel? That is what I like here on Britmodeler, fantastic models from fantastic members, Congrats for another great F-4. Regards, Udo. -

Thanks to all to make my decision simply easy. I go with the darker roundels from the PR9 sheet. Thanks again. Udo.

Hello everybody! I got the 48 scale Airfix Canberra and I will start tomorrow with the paint job. I prefer the RAF markings, but for me the roundels on the decal sheet are a little to bright. I`m also have the sheet from the PR9 model and the roudel on this sheet, the blue, white, red one, are more darker. Is this a fail print on the first sheet, or does the RAF used two different blue colours? I don`t know, or is this a fact of the time period when Canberras are used. Regards, Udo. PS: I think I will go with the darker Roundels, looks more like the roundels on other RAF planes in the sixties and seventies.

Hello everybody! Here are my latest model from the workbench. It is the Revell SpPz 2 Luchs A1 Version, with all of the little mistakes what the kit has. I only added a new tow bar, the Revell is to small in the diameter, new number plates and new indicator. The indicator I replaced today so here on the pictures they are a to big. The antennas are from after market, but I don`t know which manufacturer it was. Very easy to use. I used Revell / Humbrol and Model Master Enamels and some pigments for the light dirt. AK interactive for the upper hull, but I think it is a little bit to much, but I`m satisfied with the result. Critics are welcome. Udo.

Hallo Kai! When I see the progress pics of the build, I can say that is not far away to an absolut worthcast. When I see the result of the plastic parts, I give you my respect for this stunning work. One of the best Dorniers in this scale. You could be proud of it. Udo. -
Hi Mathias! Very nice, like all your models that you share with us on Britmodeler and in Jet & Prop. For me the swastika is a little bit to small, but round about a wonderful Me262. Udo.

Hi all! I don't understand this very long Conversation of models that are not produced and not in your hands. And I also don't understand this posting, on which planet I live? Let us be happy that our Hobby is not dead and customers like Revell, Airfix and other bring new and old models every year. Udo. Good luck to them. As the owners of the Shackleton aircraft design, there's only one we're supporting and its not the Revell item. I'd doubt they can achieve the same level of accuracy without the data we hold. Regards, Rich W -
Hello together! Many thanks for your friendly comments. After all, the Checkered Flag is in sight. At the weekend I was a little bit lazy, so I put a black pre shading on the Luchs. This week I hope I can finished the Kit and start a new one. Best Regards, Udo.
-
Hello everybody! Another Day and more progress. I used more putty and added all the tools around the hull. The turret has become his smoke grenade launcher and some wire for the IR light. So, tomorrow I can play with the colour. Typical for a early "Luchs" are olive green. Best regards, Udo.

Hallo everybody! From time to time I`m away from my aircraft kits and want to build a military kit. Now I pick up the re-release of the Revell SpPz Luchs A1 in 1/35 scale. I know about the mistakes of the kit, but I will build it out of the box with some parts from myself. I started with the upper and lower chassis and the back plate, so the whole body is finish. After that there were four axles with all his aggregates to build. For a correct stand on all four wheels, it is important that all four axles are mounted together under the chassis, before the glue dried, so you can make some corrections for a perfect stand. I hope my English is good enough that you understand what I mean. The upper hull has some sinks marks and there was eliminated with some putty. The holes for the tools were drilled out, so its easier to glued the parts on it. I changed the tow bar, so the kit part was to small and I added new licence plates After some parts are drying, I glued the turret together and make some wire on the smoke grenade launcher. All in all, the kit goes together very well and I hope that I can give the Luchs the first coat of colour at the weekend. Best Regards, Udo.

Hi Nenad! I`ll be sitting in the first row and looking over your shoulder how do assembled the kit. Udo. -
Hello! Outstanding work so far, very impressive. I'm looking foward how do you managed the the sight of the rear landing gear. I read that the gear is wrong in it's angle and 5mm to long, but I'm not sure if it is true. What is the best resin seat for this model? I will buy two for the B version. Udo.
