  1. Apparently Salamander was the code name for the wing assembly and Sparrow or Spatz was the actual name for the aeroplane
  2. Gregg & Andy, thankyou for your comments & compliments, they are greatly appreciated
  3. This is Tamiya's sublime Heinkel He-162 in 1/48th scale. It falls together with no issues at all! Tamiya provide a ball bearing for the nose weight and there is an option to build it with an opened up engine, or displayed separately on a maintenance trolley. The only additions I made were a set of etched seat belts, replaced the gun barrels and pitot tube with hypodermic needles. Painted with Mr Color acrylics. Thanks for looking Angelo.
  4. Superb! What a fantastic rendition of a truly awesome aeroplane. Great work, especially on the camouflage! Impressive work πŸ˜ƒ
  5. I built my model using the reference material I had available and as far as I could I matched what I saw, especially with regards to the markings and colour scheme. At this stage of the war the Germans were churning out fighter aircraft as fast as they could in anything but precision production facilities and with a less than dedicated workforce. For me my model is based on the reference materials I had and it matches them as best as I could make it. I appreciate that there are late war Luftwaffe experts who have an encyclopaedic knowledge on the subject and will produce any number of photographs to support their conclusions, but for me this was a fun little project using and old stash monster and spare aftermarket I had lying around. Thank you for your comments and observations, they are very much appreciated πŸ˜ƒ
  6. This is Revell's old kit of the BF 109 G-10. For it's age its not too bad with nicely engraved panel lines and a fairly accurate shape. The cockpit is a bit basic compared to newer kits. I added some extra detail in the cockpit using left over bits from other 109 projects. The kit's flaps, slats, and elevators are fixed so I cut them away and repositioned them for a more animated look. For the colour scheme I used decals from the spares box and based the actual scheme on some colour profiles I found in a reference book. I used Mr Color paints. Thanks for looking Angelo.
  7. I love it! Nice touch with the green patch under the missing fuel tank!
  8. That is an interesting variation on the T-34. Great looking tank.
  9. That is very nice! Impressive model, great work πŸ‘πŸ˜ƒ
  10. That’s a lovely looking Eagle πŸ˜ƒ Great work πŸ‘Œ
  11. A fantastic bit of work! Really well weathered.
  12. WOW! Very impressive! Great looking model πŸ˜€
  13. Just incredible! Some of, if not the best model work I have ever seen.
  14. That is rather impressive! Great looking model and very nicely presented πŸ‘
  15. A fantastic looking model, especially considering the age of the kit! Great work!
  16. Thank you for all your comments and compliments. They are greatly appreciated 😊
  17. You’ve really got this scheme sorted! Great weathering! It really breaks up that monotone scheme. Fantastic looking Enigma!πŸ˜ƒ
  18. Thank you for your comments and compliments πŸ˜ƒ Very much appreciated.
  19. Dragon's 35th scale Hanomag Sd.Kfz.251/6. It is a typical Dragon kit, loads of unused parts, confusing instructions, but abundance of detail. I added a fair bit of stowage from the spares box and painted it in DAK colours using Tamiya acrylics. Weathered using the hairspray technique (to be honest I have tried this method a number of time and can never get the effect I desire). Loads of pigments to give it a very dusty finish. Thanks for looking Angelo
  20. Andre, Bertie & Retired Bob, Thanks for your comments and compliments, they are greatly appreciated
  21. Very nice! You've done a great job on representing the heat scorching on the capsule. Great work
  22. This is the Italeri boxing of the Tri-Master/Dragon kit. I nice straight forward and simple kit. It goes together with no real issues. Aftermarket was kept to a set of seat belts, and I replaced the gun barrels and pitot tube with hypodermic needles. I used Mr Color except for the good old RLM 81 Braun Violet. I mixed this myself as every paint manufacturer has their own variation on that theme! So it's my own take on the colour and I don't think I was too far off. Thanks for looking Angelo.
