  1. It was several rounds of filing and filling parts to get them to fit Airfix is going to re-issue this later in the year. If they don't improve to the moulds its waste of money. You're better off trying to make a P.1127 from the old Frog/Novo Harrier At least I got 4 of the 5 wheels touching the ground. One of the double main wheels just misses by 1/2 a mil
  2. I've done a lot of work on this trying to bring it up to decent kit Rear wheel well and doors, cut away the rear of the chin radiator for gills to be added. The particular one I'm building had a fin fillet I'll cannibalise u/c doors from the Tomahawk kit. It comes with open doors and closed and a cockpit interior made Almost ready for painting
  3. The chin radiator still needs a bit of tidying and the retractable radiator is made
  4. I bought these 3D printed 1/48 pilots. The seller also did 1/72, jet pilots, prop pilots, mixed et cetra
  5. The yellow P in a circle is the 'Prototype' marking Fantasy Print Shop has them in their range https://www.fantasyprintshop.co.uk/product/prototype-ps-aircraft-30-36-fp807-1-48/
  6. I got some Sainsburys 'Smoked Bacon' the other day Cooked it at lunch time looking forward to a bacon buttie It was tasteless! it didn't even taste of bacon I'll get ASDA next time. It tastes right
  7. There are some sellers on ebay who do the decals for Corgi & Dinky vehicle rebuilds I got some Royal Mail ones
  8. I also have a wooden stand for aeroplanes Their availability is sometimes good, sometime hard Like this one; (but mine will take biplanes) They are being 3D printed now. Are they worth the money? if not too much. If you have a 3D printer you can buy the files for under a fiver One of the best stands for aeroplanes and cars is made of Lego, or similar bricks You can buy a box of 300 Lego type bricks for under a tenner and you can fashion any shape of stand you want
  9. One type won't do all I use this type for figures. The handle comes off and it can be screwed on to a table-top stand
  10. I've neffer see'd dat. Wher du yu by it?
  11. I use a slim one to hold my sanding bits in
  12. Another thought; if the they used DG200 for measurements as it was still without a canopy they did not know which side to hinge it and did a best guess
  13. Check the piece of film carefully. The image may have been flipped. Film editors often do that if a flipped image looks better on the screen. Look for any writing or numbers that may be wrong way round. edit; I found the film on youtube It ain't flipped. The supercharger intake is on the correct side. The bolts on the SMLEs are on the correct side
  14. nae, nae, nae, no, no, no, only TAYTO The inventors of flavoured crisps and still the worlds bestest

  19. Thanks. But I think I've settled on doing it in 1/24 because I have the engines If I build this soon I'll have to think of somat else to build A Merlin on a trailer with prop stubs, run for demonstrations at country shows ? A casual friend had one, as well as a Griffon and several US radials - 10 or 12 engines all together. They were beyond their flying time
