  1. Very nice My father reckoned he saw the American version flying around and out of Chicago in about '42
  2. As they are British WW2 Armoured Car crew I'll assume that is MiniArt's attempt at Turtle helmets
  3. There are variations in the shape of the Mk.III / Mk.IV 'Turtle' helmet but they generally look like this
  4. The 5 in a row on the last frame look like they may be late-WW2 Turtle helmets. But I can only see their tops If they are Turtles the crew could be used for early N.I. 'Troubles' with the Airfix Ferret
  5. Without a doubt it has to be the Fokker D.VII Hardly any rigging and some of the most interesting & colourful paint schemes and, afaik, plenty of spare parts to keep for the other builds
  6. The Foden C type would fit the GB. It was produced from 1922, afair

  9. In theory they should fit but might need some fettling
  10. The Airfix Hawker Typhoon comes with 500lb and 250lb-ers You could try asking if anyone who has built the Typhoon but not used the 250lb-ers has them spare or ask Airfix if they would sell you the parts
  11. Yes, a wheellock, currently being built, but by 'Life-Like' and I found my flintlock dueling pistols but one is smashed up, only one can be refurbed
  12. I'm refurbishing the Kentucky Long Rifle which I made about 52 ( ! ) years ago. It will be hard to photograph it though
  13. Please add me in I have several suitable candidates
  14. Not a car. For my 4-wheel licence, a 3.5 ton Royal Mail Commer Walk-through van, nick-named the 'moon buggy'
  15. As far as I know only the cockpit area was American Interior Green. a fairly dark green called Bronze Green. All the rest of the fuselage interior was plain unpainted aluminium. The walkway was also unpainted aluminium
  16. I would go for matt black At the time it was believed any colour could show up at night and thus everything was painted matt black

  23. Although I'm not doing a Flying Tiger I've started watching John Wayne's 1942 film 'Flying Tigers' Real P-40Bs, not CGI. And real war film mixed in
