  2. RLM 65 on underside and fuselagesides followed by some careful masking for RLM 02 in wheelbays and turrethousing Now it's off for the RLM 77 mottling on the fuselage and forward tailsection
  3. As far as I could understand out of my big HE 177 book, the answer is NO, it did only exist on paper btw, reminds me I forgot to explain my way of putting on them PE hinges onto the wings...I did a slight cut with a new scalpel blade where they did have to come, so they " sank " between the plastic, then ran ' emm through a blob of CA, putted 'emm in place, than after dryingtime for the ca I went along them with a little amount of Tamiya glue, makes the plastic weld around them, they're really seald now
  4. thnx all for the opinions, and I'm aware it's Godblasting, Elvis was NOT a cajun ( cfr The Comittments )
  5. Base coat added ( Vallejo grey primer, small bottles, I really love this stuff ), checked for flaws, couldn't find any, so I must admit hard putty/sandingwork pays well I know, boring dull, these pics of grey primer coat
  6. some of the best work ya can find in modelling land, but then, yeah, I knew so...thnx to scalemates keep 'em coming Dirk grtz C btw when will ya be on a Belgian show again ??
  7. been a while since last update, so here's where I'm now Have to admit, I'm not gonna use the vac canopies, not that they don't fit, they do, but the nosesection of the fuselages is pushed about 1 mm sidewards by the cockpitassembly, therefor I need to have strength in gluiing the canopies on, strength the vac thingies don't have conversion parts for the A-6 version added, lot's o' putty there the large amount of putty has been wiped away with mr color thinner a lot of work got into the fit of the bombbay, it's too wide canopy masking, much fun.... a little glue got underneath the tape used for clamping fuselage to fit uppersection of the canopy, I'll take care of that later PE exhausts for the HS293 glide bombs it's this big few subs wings on, the thing safely stored away in between work All that's left to do for now are the PE hinges on the wings and tail, then finally it's time for the paintjob
  8. What if Germany would have won the batlle of Brittain....maybe this would have been seen flying over northern and eastern Europe
  9. gee Moby, I've never liked Weathering Report, was a little too heavy weathered to me thnx for your input ( I stick to Led Zeppelin, heavy enough )

  13. the label on the bag says it's for the Revell one, anyway, we'll discover things
  14. some progress, going slow I know, but it's due to health-dutys don't mind bout the glue, it's inside the wings, nothing won't be seen anymore this is much neater and so is this fuselages got together in the meantime meanwhile I'v bought vac-canopies from Squadron, gonna be a challenge, first time I'm using those, more later
  15. First try in Streaking camo, with the eye on the goal of making 30 off 'emm, using Pheon decals for JGII. Used Ed decals ( spare ones ) for this one, just a try out So, this was just a try out for the real thing, now I know ' bout the fiddly things I have to take care off ( wheelstruts and upperwing ), I already got 8 pcs of 'em, 22 to go
  16. revell 1/72 - I've doubted bout bying the 1/48 MPM kit several times at my supplier, when I finally had decided to by it it was sold

  18. sorted out, black for the tailsection, white for the cowling
  19. well thnx, I used RLM 65 from Gunze. Now I have this other question. I'm using Pheon decals. In their instruction sheet the tails of all aircraft have a kind of grey colour. Could it be German grey I have to use for it ?? also on their sheet the cowling is depicted in white, I suppose that section just has to be Aluminium colour ?? the streaking I applied in Gunze Olive drab, will post pics of it soon as I've taken them. thnx in advance C
  20. I'm working on the Fokker DrI right now ( actually, I'm gonna make 30 of'em relying on the Pheon decals ) . Anybody out there to help me out with the right underside color and can I found it in the Gunze range of colors ??? thnx in advance Zim
