  1. Absolutely brilliant job. The paint work is out of the world for 1/72. Wow! Cheers Ian
  2. Excellent work. Love the open canopy and weathering on both. Cheers Ian
  3. Great rendition of a great little kit. I have build one and you are spot on about the canopy. Love it! Cheers Ian
  4. Love the build as its given me a few ideas. Can't wait for more. Cheers Ian
  5. This was a straight out of the box build apart from the seat belts so I will have to give the credit to Airfix for the realistic attachment points. Cheers Ian
  6. Thanks to everyone for taking the time to comment as I feel it makes it worth while posting the photo's up. Cheers Ian
  7. Great work will an excellent result. Well done for producing this excellent rendition! Cheers Ian
  8. I never thought about using templates but I think I will give it ago the next time. As you can tell I sprayed the camouflage freehand for speed. Thanks for that and for taking the time to comment. Cheers Ian
  9. Great aircraft, fantastic build! Thanks for posting. Cheers Ian
  10. Thanks for the fast comments guys. As for the exhausts John all I do is mix a small amount of Vallejo's Model color Oily Steel with their Model Air Rust (not the metallic rust). I brush paint it on and then I spray it with a very thin black wash for the smoke and oil stains. I hope this helps? Cheers Ian
  11. Just finished another Spitfire, this one is a little gem of a kit. The build had no problems and the only things added was a couple of bits of lead wire rolled flat to make the seat belts. Here it is please let me know what you think? Cheers Ian
  12. Hi Michael This was an out of the box build which includes the decals. Cheers Ian
  13. This was my first kit back in the times of black and white telly but this one is 100 times better than my one. Well done!
  14. Hi Miggers I didn't know she was still flying and when I followed the hyper link and watched the video I realised it was Duxford and I think it was the Battle of Britain airshow in 2010. What an brilliant show that was. I will have to trawl through my photo's and see if I can find one of this Spit! Here are a few I posted on my Flickr page if you are interested. http://www.flickr.com/photos/ecirpnai/sets/72157625368395856/ Thanks Ian
  15. Hi LeonThe kit is as it comes with recessed panel lines. The only problem I had was with the fit of the elevators as they were a bit loose, apart from that its an excellent kit. Thanks to everyone else who took the time to comment! Cheers Ian
  16. Just finished this "out of the box" Revell 1/72 Spitfire Mk Vb. A nice kit to build and costs around £5.00. Please let me know what you think or if you have any questions. Cheers Ian
  17. I love the lot. I am working on the Revell Spitfire Vb at the minute. The weathering etc is excellent. Cheers Ian
  18. Here is my attempt of an Airfix 1/72 Vought Kingfisher. The decals are from a bought sheet. Thanks Ian
  19. Sorry I forgot to say that I am looking forward to watching you build this one Mike. All the best Ian
  20. I can recommend Welsh Dragon Models, excellent service. I have had also used a series of books called "World War II AFV Plans" available from amazon for about £7 each. They cover axis, allied tanks and apc's etc and have fine scale drawings (side, top, front & rear views). Also in the front cover is a table telling you what percentage you need to set your scanner or photocopier to produce 1/76, 1/72, 1/35, 1/16, etc, scale copies. I managed to produce a 1/16 scale drawing for my Panther which came in very handy for scratch building, etc. I hope this is of some help. Ian
  21. Alright Mike. You can get a pack of 36 pack for £3.00 from Tesco direct: Nerf N-Strike Clip System Dart Pack - 36 Darts Catalogue Number: 208-0124 I have also seen them in Asda, Toys R Us and Sainsburys. If you still have a problem getting them just let me know and I will send you some. Cheers Ian
  22. To be honest I not too sure as I am still rebuilding it but as soon as I get it all back together I will let you know the weights, etc. Also I will post some photos of the Panther and Tiger running outside once I tidy the garden up. Cheers Ian
  23. Next is the chipping which I do get carried away with I am afraid but so what that's what we do this for is to enjoy it. If you don't like it don't do it is the advice my eleven year old says to me. The spare track wheel is a bought resin part with mods made by my dremel again. There are also a lot of wheels. And that is the story so far....... If you have any comments good or bad please feel free to add also if I can help any one or If you have any ideas and tips they are always welcome. Thanks Ian
