  1. And yet more: http://www.modelcollect.com/german-patriot-3-missile-luncher http://www.modelcollect.com/man-kat-1-mobile-surveillance-radar It's a dangerous time to be a 1/72 fighter pilot!
  2. Magnificent finish, the multi-tonal panels look the business.
  3. Nice one Shaun, that's the spirit.....Mad is good! IMHO. This is about as mad as I'm likely to go (two out of three are already coming for Christmas): We Dived Too Deep! PS - Sadly my Shinkai doesn't come with 'Sea Creatures'.....I couldn't find that version anywhere.
  4. 'Big-Bird' should be hitting the shelves next year: & the final part of your S-300/S-400 missile battery is now on the cards too: Modelcollect appear to believe that their rendering above represents 92N6E 'Tombstone' radar on a MAZ chassis.....Looks a hell of a lot more like a MZKT to me: MAZ Chassis: MZKT Chassis: I did raise this with them, but they are adamant it's a MAZ.....You decide!
  5. You wingy lot had better be buying plenty of these, so that @Old pro, @badger, @alexclark & I can finally have our Braille T-62, Scud-B, MT-LB, Rubezh etc. etc.
  6. Even Panther was buggy, the transmission was a dog and you had to take the bloody turret off to replace it.....But that, as you rightly suggest, is for another thread.
  7. I think you missed a bit: "....so the top rotates?" "Mais bien sûr" "It'll never catch on." Very nicely done Stix and a cleverly schemed theme too. Reckon the FT's tail may be just a bit too pristine.....Matter of preference I guess.
  8. Some 'alternative candidates' for your consideration. Space Nazis Blew Up The World!
  9. Such a cool model.....I wish stuff like this were available in 1/72. Tamiya? Aoshima? Somebody.....Please!
  10. Cheers Giorgio, you are on the list.....I figure a background scenario for nuclear capable aircraft/ships/trucks needn't bee too complex, "mission complete" would sum it up well enough IMHO.
  11. Still rolling in Yemen: http://www.vestnik-rm.ru/news-4-25931.htm Even the Sherman can't hold a candle to that!
  12. Great build, love the improvised armour. They only managed to build about 400 King Tigers.....The speculation would IMHO be brief.
  13. Cheers for the support guys, so long as you provide a brief scenario almost anything (suitably apocalyptic) could be a viable subject.
  14. As a frequent purchaser of (Modelcollect 1/72) Russian ballistic & cruise missile systems, I recently suggested adding 'The Lords of Armageddon' (nuclear delivery systems) as a fifth category in @trickyrich's Specialists GB, but the rules were already laid down and a slot earned, so it wasn't to be. However on reflection, with a little bit of expansion, the idea might have merit as a GB of its own.....'The BM Armageddon GB'. Simple premise,.....You build a model and create a backstory explaining your subject's significance in your own personal end of the world scenario. That's it. As all these scenarios are (Inshallah! ) WHIFs, pretty much any scenario should be acceptable, so if @AndyRM101 or @Will Vale were to decide to build the Death Star doing for Alderaan, it would be every bit as acceptable as @whitestar12chris's beloved SSBNs laying waste to a whole hemisphere. I'd welcome @Mrs PlaStix & @Gimme Shelter's dinosaur models too, if they can be made to look suitably shocked! So, sign up.....Time may be running short! 1 - Sgt.Squarehead (Chief Conspirator) 2 - Col. 3 - whitestar12chris 4 - Marlin 5 - Giorgio N 6 - the South African 7 - Corsairfoxfouruncle 8 - trickyrich 9 - Robert Stuart 10 - helios16v 11 - Bonhoff 12 - Botan 13 - Hockeyboy76 14 - CliffB 15 - Dazzio 16 - Kallisti 17 - Enzo Matrix 18 - rockpopandchips 19 - Ted 20 - Arniec 21 - Tim R-T-C 22 - Two Little Ducks?
  15. Already got 'em fella.....I've been prevaricating over this build for quite a while now (the HB kits are quite intimidating and I really don't want to mess one up). Mind you, I could still use a decent etched fret for all the metalwork on the hull.....Is there one you would recommend (I have all the HB 1/48 T-34 kits)?
  16. Well that generally knocks the spots off Hasegawa's geriatric offering.....But you don't get a 'Mini-Adolf' in the new kit.
  17. First name that sprang into my head too.
  18. I reckon I may go Hobbyboss 1/48 for this one (in Afghanistan): I've wanted to model it for a while.
  19. It's Andy.....The 'Sgt.Squarehead' thing is an old gaming handle that stuck TBH. Pleased to hear MC have helped you out (and impressed by their response).....I look forward to seeing the finished model, it'll be an impressive piece. BTW - I'm a regular at ML so I do follow your stuff, I just don't post there anymore since Brett became neurotic about usernames.
