Looks like someone hasn't got a clue what is going on in the company's orderbook or what is in the pipeline of being ordered. Let alone the trend building airliners. Makes Baghdad Bob look trustworthy....lol Got 8 of the kits already, and at a cheaper price over at ModelHobbies so not a problem for me...

Ruben, I am thinking of doing that one as well (Air Afrique). I worry though that the long stripe with half the cockpit antiglare will crack and is fragile. Is this a problem ? When doing those long stripes, do you start from the back, or from the cockpit and go backwards.. Perhaps I am making it a bigger problem in my mind than in reality. Which decals for A.A did you use ? Thanks Matt

Time to make the definite DC-8 thread here.... I'll start by asking this.. The kit as we all know, is rather nice... Though it could be more detailed, lacks aerials and details etc etc. Are these included in the Extratech set ? I can't find parts breakdown on the the net, what is included with the Extratech packages. Any other aftermarket producer that has enhancement parts for the M/C DC-8 ? I am starting my first 8 ever, soon. Will be either a SAS -63 or an Air Jamaica -62. Reg Matt in Sweden

Jessica, did you try the F-rsin engines yet ? They look pretty fragile. Anyone with experience ?

Ouch !!! Perhaps matter of opinion will drastically sway when Revell hands out one or two freebies of the kit

So, if I understand everything correct................, , Out of the box, a Minicraft Dc-8-63 can be transformed into any versions 55+ without involving replacement resin engines ? I have a couple and would like to at least build one, being the shortest version possible. CP Air, Trans America, Scandinavian, THAI.... and so many other nice schemes out there. Would you guys go with Two Six Decals or F-dcals ? thanks.

Here is his reply in the Dc-8 63 matter... "We have no idea when the new Minicraft DC-8 will be available in the UK.Sales of Minicraft airliners have dropped off to such an extent that they are not at present being imported. David Hannant" After asking him again, he emphasized in the following e-mail that they had not ordered it... I find that quite odd as I'm pretty sure the 63, once available in the U.K and Europe, will sell out quite quickly. reg Matt

Yeah so am I, but David replied back to me saying they haven´t /wouldn´t order it.. However Minicraft themselves told me that a lot has been sent to a U.K distributor... If it´s not Hannants, who else in the U.K could it be ? Thanks Matt
