  1. Oh i say , that s rather lovely i have a Sanger 1.48th kit in the stash and your model has got me thinking .
  2. Hi Heather , doing the same project only in 1.48th scale , built so far are Manchester , Hampden , Lancaster . next up Blenheim and Fairy Battle. 👍
  3. Cor , nice one Martin , a perfect taster for the forthcoming 1.48th Airfix kit .
  4. Nice one Malcolm. no wonder your friend is very happy , i would be more than happy to receive that as a gift.
  5. Well apart from your troubles i think you have done a wonderful job , i would be more than happy if my Lightning looked as good as yours. Well done for trying out new paints and lacquers and i am sure in time you will come up with the right combo which you will always be happy with. Dont be too hard on yourself , it really is a cracking model.
  6. That s it , i give up , Nothing short of brilliant , wonderful job . 👍
  7. If i recall there were shape issues around the nose areas between the Airfix and Tamiya kits , the Tamiya kit being the better of the two , I am sure Scale Aircraft Modelling did a comparison between the two a few years back and the Tamiya kit looked much better. 👍
  8. Nice looking Meteor there Pete , and in different markings from the usual too.
  9. Wow , that has to be one of the best Lysanders i have ever seen , you sir are a credit to the hobby
  10. Very nice job indeed , 👍 you are right about the quality , looks a stunning kit.
  11. Hi there , Extra decal sheet no 048034 should give you what you need ( Hannants ) This sheet is for Hawker Hunters but should be ok for the Swift. 👍
  12. Thank you every one for your input so far 👍 It seems to be the opinion that the kit is worth building despite its many flaws . My plan now is to correct the length by 5mm as suggested , sort out the belly tank shape , reposition the nose gear wheel bay and main wheel bay positions , replace the canopy with the after market option ,and cockpit depth, and correct the undercarriage legs / wheels. What i need now is a decent set of 1.32nd scale plans for the F1 / F3 mark so if any body can help me out there it would be very much appreciated.
