  1. , surprised you had problems as those Tamiya Beaufighters usually fall together .
  2. Cracking job with Masters of the Air now on our screens and your super model makes me want to build one too.
  3. Good start however i would build the model first then paint otherwise you may find when you come to sorting out the joins you will find your nice paint job will need sorting out again also the amount of handling during the building process will also take its toll on the paint not to mention any glue over spill ☹️
  4. Nice one Dave , i use the same rigging as you , i cant understand why rigging puts so many off ? elastic thread is a piece of cake to use and really makes a difference to the finished model.
  5. Brilliant Steve , one of my favourite Frog kits , still looking good after all these years.
  6. Made one a few years ago and made a right hash of it , threw it away but it kept coming back. 🤣
  7. Wow , what a fine set of models you have created there , i recently acquired an MPM Fairey Battle and wondering how will compare to the Airfix kit ? first class job on all those .
  8. Wow , thats a stunner , your extra work has paid off . 10 /10
  9. Paragon also did a conversion set for the prototype now hens teeth but you never know
  10. So nice to see these old kits being given a second chance despite there obvious flaws .
  11. Very nice indeed , good work on the Darth Vader spinner the biggest howler of the kit . The wheels are also a vast improvement too.
  12. Another cracker there Heather , i followed your WIP and know how much work you put into it , the canopy being a bit of a nightmare however the end result was well worth the effort , super job .
  13. Blimey , now you dont see one of those everyday , great result .
  14. Brilliant save , the old saying Never throw anything away comes to mind . Top job Charlie.
  15. The first kit i ever had , bought from Woolworths by my dad , ah happy days.
  16. Good move on the windscreen as the kit one sits too upright and is a real howler .
  17. Fantastic , has to be one of the best Spitfire models i have seen , a masterpiece.
  18. Have this one in the stash along with the Perth , Iris , London, and Southampton , one day i will get round to building them all .
  19. Built the MK1a a few years back with no problems , only thing to watch out for is the wing diheadrel which if built stright from the box will give you a flat wingspan also the top engine cover did not fit that well either , as Troy said the VB kit is the MK1 but with added extras , if i recall MDC did some upgrades including gun barrels which are a vast improvement on the ones supplied.
  20. Great job Stew , reminds me so much of the old 1.72nd Frog kit which came with the same markings.
  21. Lovely job Chris , had this one in the stash for more years than i care to remember , looks like it just went to the top of the pile.
