  1. I like it! But a question still lingers: Did he make it back - did he?? Cheers Hans J
  2. Hi Mick! I've just measured one of the standing figures and the body measures 3,0 cm and the head 0,6 cm = 3,6 cm times 48 = 172 cm. A tad small perhaps, but then again I'm only 174 cm! Cheers Hans J
  3. Hi Woody! If it is of any help I have these leftover 1/72 decals I could send you: Just PM me and I'll send them along! We modellers have to stick together! Cheers Hans J
  4. It is true! https://www.google.dk/search?q=uss+independence+command+bridge&rlz=1C1AFAB_daDK491DK491&espv=2&biw=1920&bih=955&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwic8JuOo6bKAhWBv3IKHRzHBqAQ_AUIBigB#imgrc=-NKAZWnBPjEuRM%3A Cheers Hans J
  5. Looks great! A good model of a interesting ship. I seem to rembember reading an interview with the captain, who said, that the best part of being captain on the USS Independence, was that the bridge has the same layout as USS Enterprise NCC-1701! Cheers Hans J
  6. Hi all! By the looks of it I may have to thin down the list.. I have the Pembroke and Dakota so they're settled - I think I'll just go for the planes that I can get as injection plastic kits (with the odd exception like the 1/72 resin Twin Pioneer), but I'm not brave enough - yet - to take on a pure vacuform kit! So: Smaller 1 - 2 engined planes in 1/72 Larger in 1/144 But once more a huge thank you for your input - i really value it! Heres a couple of pictures of my Basset: I've chosen not to go overboard with this - it's more of a 'give me back my mojo'-project! Cheers Hans J
  7. Hi All and so many thnaks for your responses! I'm overwhelmed - I didn't know the RAF had used so many different transport planes! Look's like I've go my work cut out! Cheers Hans J
  8. Hi Graham! and Dave! Thank you very much for the info! I never thought about the Corgi die-casts - good Idea Cheers Hans J
  9. When I was a kid I dreamt of becoming a Pilot when I grew up - not a fighter pilot, mind you - no I wanted to fly Hercules! Now I'm grown up (some would say too grown especially in the midwaist area! ) and my dream didn't come through. So lately I've become a bit nostalgic, and started to buy the kits of my childhood, including e.g. Airfix 1/72 Beagle Basset 206, which will be in Royal Air Force Transport Command livery. That started me going and I started buying more transportplanes in 1/72 for the smaller and 1/144 for the larger ones all which will be RAF-planes! So far I have: 1/72 Beagle Basset 206 1/72 C-130 1/72 Scottish Aviation Twin Pioneer 1/144 C-130 1/144 Blackburn Beverley and a 1/144 VC-10, Britannia, C-17 and Comet on the way. I understand that there may be an 1/144 Argosy on the way this year and there is an Anigrand 1/144 Belfast but what more post WW2 RAF transport planes are there out there? Cheers Hans J
  10. Looks good - as usual! I'm planning to do a VFC-111 in 1/72'nd scale in my 'Sundowners'-series (which isn't started yet, but you get the idea! ) Cheers Hans J
  11. I too would love some 'History of ..' in particular RAF 56 Sqn 'Firebirds' just they have done with the 74 Sqn 'Tigers' Just my wish! Cheers Hans J
  12. I seem to remember that Reheat used to make som astronaut figures, but I can't remember the scale. Come to think of it, it's been a long time since I seen anything fro Reheat - are they still in business? Cheers Hans J
  13. I'm with Darby! First I found a Glencoe Vertiplane. a couple of days later I found an Airfix Rotodyne Then I found an Airfix VC-10 and now an Airfix Westland Puma! How do you know what I'm after? Do you tap into my dreams! Cheers and a Happy New Year hans J
  14. WOW! I had to take a second look at your 1/72 models - I thought the were 1/48! If only my 1/48 looked that good! Cheers and I can't wait to see your 2016 output! Hans J

  18. What a beautiful model of a beautiful plane! You may well be right in that it is a underappreciated kit, as I haven't seen many build up! I just may have to get me a couple! Cheers Hans J
  19. Thank You! Cheers and Merry X-Mas to all PS Just FYI - in Denmark X-mas is also a local brew!

  21. Oh - No!! A 1/350 Ark Royal!! How can they do it, well knowing that it is a MUST for me!! No compassion for the weekminded ! Oh well - must sell my body to medical experiments (maybe they need someone to check out a cure for getting older - I'll sign up for that in a jiffy! ) Cheers Hans J
  22. If a Revell 1/32 Eurocopter EC135 ADAC would apply I'd be up for this as well! Been searching for an excuse for building it! Cheers Hans J
  23. Darn! - The only things I ever find in our Lidl in Denmark are Pretzels and occasionally Stilton! (I love both though so it's OK! ) Cheers Hans J PS that's not entirely true - they have other things as well but not modelrelated!
  24. They sure do look great! I just wish I had half or just a third of your productivness! Cheers Hans J
