  1. Very well done! I have the same kit (somewhere ) and I can only hope that mine will turn out this well - then I'll be a happy viking! Cheers Hans J
  2. Thanks for the kind words! The good thing about the Beaver is that there are so many coun tries and companies that have used it. I have two more and intend to build them OOB, but I wouldn't be surprised, if I end up buying one or more more as it's a nice litte kit and so many different schemes to make! Cheers Hans J
  3. Thanks - and I agree - someone had to quote the legendary Leslie Nielsen (of danish decent! ) Thanks! The clear parts fit better than I remember, so maybe Airfix has improved them like they have on the Auster Antarctica? I did just sand the rivets on the fuselage ahead the rudder and a little by the horizontal stabilizers, but - and even I have a hard time believing this - NO filler was used in the build! Cheers Hans J
  4. Fresh of the bench! When Airfix brought out the Beaver again, I just had to buy one - or two - or three! I built this kit when I was a child - it had just been released - so it's been a couple of years since then. There's two options - a US Army on floats or a Royal Army on skis, but you can also build one just on wheels - which I did. I found a picture of an US Army Beaver in overall green with orange areas on the cowling, rudder and wingtips. And this is where the 'WHIF' comes in - all the markings for this Beaver is in the kit EXCEPT the number! I made an active choice and choose to use the kit number! I can only hope that you'll forgive me for this! Another thing I blame on the instructions - they want you to place the oilcooler on the edge of the cowling, although it's supposed to be further down on the fuselage. Guess when I found this out! Anyways - enough words from me - let's see some pictures! One thing I just have to mention is the decals - they are great - when put on a gloss surface and using Super Set and Sol, they just snuggle right down over the rivets and what have you! Cheers Hans J
  5. I was at a modelshow last weekend and ended up buying 2 old LS 1/72 Ki-46! Turns out it was my own two that I sold off years ago long with vacformed canopies and etchings - which were still in the boxes! Some kits are somehow destined to stay unbuilt - but not these two! - not today! Cheers Hans J
  6. Ooh! I like that - a lot! I remember when I was a young man waiting at the buststop. I saw the bus approaching when - suddenly - a low yellow (same colour as yours) vehicle shot out from behind it and passed me! It was a Lotus Europa! One of my classmates later saw the Lotus in a parking lot with driver exiting the Lotus in a - let's say - less dignified way (he had to crawl out on all four! ) But still one of my favourite cars of the era. Your model reminded me of that moment and thank you for it! Cheers Hans J
  7. Now that looks great! This has - also - been on my wishlist ever since I saw the 1/72 kit a long time ago! It looks straight out of a Flash Gordon movie! Hopefully Roden will make a civillian version - I have some Miniart figures with a ticket to ride! Cheers Hans J
  8. Thanks for the reply - I may give this another chance I'm in the middle of building the Beaver, so one could say that I'm on a nostalgic trip down memory lane! Cheers Hans J
  9. This looks great! I have built this kit myself, but in the old version. How does the new clear parts differ from the old ones? I spend a great deal of time sanding them thinner, so if they are thinner now, that could bring me to buy another one! Cheers Hans J
  10. Having build this kit myself, I can honestly say, that you have build a great model! (Better'n mine! ) Cheers Hans J
  11. What great models! I especially like the Arava 201! - looks like a mini Nord 2501 'Noratlas'! Thanks for sharing! Cheers Hans J

  13. Lovely Tomcat - just lovely! Cheers Hans J
  14. Ah - the Hayate! I built the old Revell 1/72 kit many moons ago and somehow this plane has stayed a favourite of mine! Your model is truly inspiring! Maybe - just maybe - I should take a look around the hobbyshops! Cheers Hans J
  15. I know a great model when I see one - and I'm seeing one right now! Well done indeed! Cheers Hans J

  17. I'm not jealous! - I'm NOT jealous! (Oh, yes I am! ) That is not only a large collection, but a well built large collection! Cheers Hans J
  18. This is one of the sleekest planes to come out of WWII and your model does it full justice! Makes me want to get one myself! Thanks for sharing! Cheers Hans J
  19. Now! - that is nice! One does not often see a 112 Sqd in the green/grey scheme so this is a nice chance! And well done too! Cheers Hans J
  20. Oh - I wish I could build models like this! Your Norseman makes me want to go on a fishingtrip to the great lakes of Canada - and I haven't even gone fishing before (maybe it's better this way! I'm not too fond of water!) Cheers Hans J
  21. No criticism from me - your 'Thud' look stunning! The F-105 has always been a true classic IMHO and yours look great! Cheers Hans J
  22. And my comment is: What a fine Bucc' you've built! I have the same kit - somewhere in the 'Bermuda Triangle' I call attic (things DO disappear and reappear up there! ) and I can only hope that mine will turn out as good as yours! Cheers Hans J
  23. One can never have enough 'Scooters'! And that's a fact! Sometimes I play with the thought of selling off all my other modelkits -And there's a lot! - and only keep the A-4's! I just love the A-4 and yours is a great model! I've never seen this aggressor scheme, but it sure suits the plane! Thanks for sharing! Cheers Hans J
  24. We are being spoiled! Two Whirlwinds in one week - and one is as pretty as the next one! Cheers Hans J
