  1. Hi all! I have the Tamiya 1/35 Pink Panther Landrover and was wondering if I could use a Firing Line British Soldier w/Wollen Pullover as crew? The instructions says it was in use from the Korea War up to the mid 90'es. Would a SAS soldier use it? Cheers Hans J
  2. Thanks! The G and H has always been my favorite Mitchells! Other favourites are the Hs-129 with the 75 mm gun, the Ju-88 with the 75 mm gun, the Hurricane IID, the Tsetse Mosquito and of course the A-10! Maybe I just like the idea of putting a big gun on a plane! Cheers Hans J
  3. Thanks to you both! I had fun building this, especially the cockpit and turret areas. The kit was like an empty canvas that I didn't expect too much off. Maybe it's just me, but building an old kit like this is - for me at least - easier than one of the newer, more expensive 'superkits. I guess I'm less afraid to ruin a kit like this and hence i feel like I relax more and can play around a bit and do a lot more detaling than I would dare to do on said newer kits. And I have many of the newer kits, but somehow I end up building the older ones! Cheers Hans J
  4. Thank you very much - the base was more of a necessity as I failed to put enough weight in the nose, so it ended up as a tailsitter! But I had this old Eduard base laying around since the last millennia (I bought it in 1999!), so it was about time to put it to good use! Cheers Hans J
  5. A Volvo 343 in 1980! It was an easy to drive car and I quite enjoyed driving it - so much so, that I failed the first test! Cheers Hans J PS - I've got the licence the 2'nd time around!
  6. It came in three parts - I started with the lefhand one to be sure it fitted correctly around the 75 mm gun, then the righthand one which fitted around the nose and all the way to the gun, and lastly the small one, which has to be placed inside along the gun. And yes - it took a while - and a lot of decal softener! Cheers Hans J
  7. My latest effort - am quite happy how it turned out. I decided to do a little ekstra in the cockpit area and to dress up the turret a bit. The build was quite uneventfull, allthough the decals was a bit 'challenging'! Thick and demanded a lot of decalsoftener, but it looks alright now - as you would say - a good 3-footer! A couple of things: My reference (B-25 Mitchell in Action and Google) Didn't show any ventral turret on this one. I couldn't find any pictures of the top turret, and Google provided a lot of different types of B-25 turrets, so I went with the - to me - most interesting one, which wasn't painted. I hope you will like it anyway! Cheers Hans J
  8. OOHH! Another one from when I was a little boy! And what a beautiful model you've made! I remember when I saw a review of this kit way back in the early 70'es - in a womens magazine no less! How things has changed! I was intrigued by the boxart, which showed the Ki-109 with a B-29 in the background! I think that's were my fascination with "big guns on planes" started! I have the Hasegawa kit and you model has inspired me to try and find it in my local branch of the Bermuda Triangle called "The ATTIC"! Thanks for sharing! Cheers Hans J
  9. Now this is sweet! I have just received this kit in the mail, so seeing it built this well is a true inspiration! I can just hope that mine will end up as good as yours! Cheers Hans j

  13. That is great! It truly looks like I remember it from when I watched the show on telly oh so many moons ago! As I said before I have the old Bandai kit laying around somewhere (actually I know exactly where it is! ) and I can only hope that I can make my look just half as good (it is in 1/48 so actually it IS half the size! )! Cheers Hans J
  14. Perhaps they were inspired by Doctor Who? Or Metropolis? Some sort of 'Maschinenmensch'? But the Hurricanes look great! Cheers Hans J
  15. A welcome from me too! One doesn't have to be mad to be here, but it helps! And remember the immortal words of Chico Marx: "There is no Sanity Clause"! Cheers Hans J
  16. This is pure nostalgia for me! I remember as a kid looking through the Airfix catalogue at Christmas time and seeing the boxart for this kit! Your model evokes happy memories and many thanks for that! - Your model is well done indeed! Cheers Hans J

  22. A really nice Sunderland with an interesting story! Nice weathering! It made me think about a thing: why was transport stripped of their armament? I presume it was a weight issue, but no defensive armament? It's not just the Sunderland, but Liberators, JU-52 etc. Just wondering? Cheers Hans J
  23. Hi - I'm taking a break from these figures - felt the need to make an Italeri B-25G in 1/72! C'es la vie! Cheers Hans J
  24. Well, well - I'd say that's a battle you won! A very beautifull model of 'the flying suitcase'! Cheers Hans J
  25. It looks great! Tha Canberra is such a beautifull plane and your model does it justice! The only thing that could bother me at bit, is that you chose to show a blue plane on a monday - Blue Monday! Cheers Hans J
