    I am a fifty-nine year old architect in Atlanta, Georgia. I have been building models since I could walk. I grew up in Dayton, Ohio in the fifties and sixties. So the Air Force Museum was like a second home to me. My father would take us to air shows at Wright Paterson. Once we met Chuck Yeager standing in front of a YF-12a in 1964. I wish I had photos of this event. I do however have a 1/48th model of this aircraft. My brother-in-law worked at Pratt Whitney, Nice Engines!

    I build planes and armor of all nationalities. Lately I've fallen in love with British Aircraft. I've been building Bi-Planes from the thirties. I like the bright colors and markings of the era as well as the stream lined design of those aircraft.

    I've visited the continent three times but have not yet made it to England. It's definitely on my list as soon as I have the funds!

  1. I'm building a Tamiya Dambuster. I've got the Xtradecals set for this one. It calls for the bomb to be painted in Red Oxide. Does anyone jnow if this is correct?

  5. So is there a way to obtain a copy of the Eva Marie Stolt drawings online or does one need to go to Stockholm? I've had the Airfix kit, sitting on the shelf, for years. Time to dust it off and get busy.
  6. Meine Me0410 B2/U4 Build; Another project for 2012 is the Revell Me 410. I was inspired by Chuck W’s wonderful build on the Modeler’s Alliance Forum. Alas, habe ich keine Flugzeug-Mädchen. Thanks for the inspiration. So far mine is strictly out of the box. The kit cockpit paints up great and fits well in the fuselage. What a concept! Painted with a ten power Opti-Visor and a very small brush plus some careful dry-brushing!
  7. I just posted my first issue of my Lancaster Dambuster build on the "Works In Progress" forum. I hope to have it finished about the time that David Jackson releases his new movie. Check it out and let me know your thoughts.
  8. My Lancaster Dambuster Build; One of my projects this year is the old 1/48th Lancaster Dambuster von Tamiya. An old kit from the seventies but still with very good detail. I hope to be finished in time for Peter Jackson's new movie of The Dambusters. http://www.wetanz.com/who-you-gonna-call-the-dam-busters/ I'm adding aftermarket wheels, metal landing gear struts, cockpit brass, seat belts, XtraDecals, Eduard mask and resign engines from Belcher Bits of Canada. I ordered what I could get Through AAA Hobbies of Marietta Georgia and the rest from Hannants of London. Photos of what I've done so far;
  9. I just signed up with Britmodeller and I am starting a Tamiya Dambuster. Looks like I may have missed out on your group build. I planning on building a replica of No. 617's B.Mk.III flown by Flt. Lt. D.J. H. Maltby, the fifth aircraft to attack the Mohne Dam and cause the breach. Can I look to Y'all for guidance?
