  1. The masking on the canopy looks incredibly fiddly - hope it works out!
  2. Got the P51 stencil decals from Fundekals - excellent.
  3. Without the WIP pictures, this could only be a newly moulded model.
  4. That's a lovely model. I'm not normally into jets, but the Lightning has so much character. It looks ancient yet modern at the same time. Really like the metal finish - you've not overdone the shading - I've seen too many models with far too many shades of aluminium.
  5. That is very, very small! How on earth did you manage to rig it? You've done a great job, good work. If my 1/32 SE.5a is as good I'll be happy!
  6. That is an excellent build, particularly in 1/72 - the rigging must have been very tricky at that scale. I like PART of Poland's PE sets - I'm currently building an SE.5a - Encore's reboxed Roden kit - with PART's very extensive PE set in 1/32. Add in the PE that came with the kit and there is a hell of a lot of bending, fiddling and gluing going on!
  7. I thought that - they look like crocodile clips that are on jump leads!
  8. That is very, very cheap. The only way to source one cheaper would involve knowing where somebody lives who has one in their stash, a balaclava, torch and very good lock-picking skills.
  9. How does that work then? Surely there would be a join along the middle of the fuselage, for instance?
  10. Hells Bells. And a B-17. Money & space will need to be acquired.....
  11. I must say that for your first time air-brushing that's very good work. I managed to gunk up 2 airbrushes and needed to sand 2 attempts off during my first go at an airbrushed finish, so I'm very impressed.
  12. Very impressive work for such a tiny little plane. I only model in 1/32 so this looks awfully small, but it looks lovely - really smooth.
  13. Makes a nice change to see one without the sharks teeth! Looks great.
  14. Looks great - nicely weathered. The decals are sometimes not weathered at all, but you've got just the right look.
  15. Coming along nicely - you build at quite a pace!
  16. That engine is pretty impressive. I'm regularly surprised by the amount of detail people manage to get into their builds and at first glance it's difficult to tell the scale - the 72's look like 48's and the 48's like 32's. Good stuff.
  17. The weathering on those props is great - realistic and not over-done. I'm hoping Tamiya bring out a 1/32 version of this before long - not likely though, especially with the quality of this 1/48 kit.
  18. This should be a good one to follow. You are braver than me!
  19. That's a great paint job - not often do you see bright red & yellow jets! Looks like it was fun.
