  10. hi everyone, here is another one from the collection, this is one of those garish schemes that i guess you will either love it or loath it , one thing for sure is you cant miss it, it certainly stands out in the cabinet, the decals are from avigraphics, the sheet provides a complete wrap of colour for the whole fuselage but i didnt like the idea of using such large decals on so many curves so i decided to paint it, awful lot of masking involved but i think it was worth it, just used sheet for horizontal stripes and logo on tail and all other details %5B/URL%5D %5BURL=http://s1168.photobucket%5B/URL%5D %5BURL=http://s1168.phot%5B/URL'> uc [url=http://s1168.photobucket.com/[/_zp
  11. Absolutely stunning, super build, lots of memories there from the 60s and 70s when we had real airshows.
  12. as always everyone thank you so much for your generous comments and taking time to have a look.
  13. hello, in reply to your question about which kit and decals were used I am not completely sure as this build was done about 12 years ago and the passage of time and increasing age tend to cloud the facts but my best bet would be the kit was revell and the decals were from liveries unlimited, hope this is of some help.
  14. Hi everyone, following my last post I have had a couple of requests to show some airliners from my collection, here is a livery that I think is really simple yet so elegant. Is this livery still in use as I am a bit out of touch with the current commercial scene.
  15. absolutely stunning, lovely work, what a wonderful period in time that was.
  16. thank you everyone for your generous comments, its greatly appreciated, sorry quality of pics is not that great but as an old fashioned mechanical man from a bygone era i find all forms of digitery a bit of a struggle, am feeling tempted to try and post some more airliners from the cabinet, thanks to you all for looking.
  17. hi everyone, just completed two of my favourites from the golden era, hope you like them.

  20. HI EVERYONE. ON BEHALF OF THE FAMILY I WOULD LIKE TO THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR KIND MESSAGES OF SUPPORT,IT HAS BEEN GREATLY APPRECIATED. WHEREVER YOURE CRUISING UP THERE RON KEEP AN EYE ON US ALL. MICHAEL AND LINDAN.
  21. hi everyone, it is with great regret i have to tell you that our fellow member ronnie has sadly passed away, the cold war era was rons particular area of interest and until a year or so ago he was an active member on the site, I know a number of you will have had contact with ron as a result of the sale of his extensive collection of kits and decals before his illness took hold and left him unable to continue modelling. myself and fellow member lindan have known ron for best part of 50 years and during that time our shared hobby and interests have given us many wonderful memories and experiences, we will miss him greatly, I am sure all members would wish to join us in sending our deepest sympathy to the family. Thank you. Michael and Lindan.
