  1. Some cracking videos there mate! I've been out flying most of today, but had a chance to order paints. I've now got most of what I'll need I think: The kit PA474 Decals Glue Filler Files Canopy Mask Cockpit Zoom Lincoln Fins I'll let you know how I go with it as it develops. I'm mid way through a course at the moment so I don't have a lot of time to build, so it may take a while. Thanks everyone for your assistance, this truly is a great forum.
  2. That is an absolutely superb bit of craftsman ship mate, I wish I could do something similar and make a RAAF PC-9/A.
  3. Thanks once again for the help, some especially useful pictures. I have easy access to Tamyia and Humbrol paints, but through the internet can get just about anything you guys recommend. I will be using an airbrush and have decided to go with the Canopy Masks.
  4. Thank you for your input fella's! I think I will try and do as much of the mods to make it authentic to PA474 as possible, not sure where to get Lincoln fins from though. I will try the canopy mask. I've heard things about paint masks as well, but wouldn't have a clue where or what they are. Won't even touch the Dihedral angle of the wing! For the level I'm at at the moment, close enough is good enough! Where do you guys get your paint from? Is their colour references? Its all very confusing. Also, some amazing pictures, you are very passionate about the Lancaster that much is obvious
  5. G'day everyone. I've just purchased my first model kit in the last ten years, I've been collecting diecast but have decided to have another go at plastic. I was a lot younger when I first made plastic though, and just used old Airfix kits that had everything in the box! I want to make this kit into PA474, and have the decals for it, my question is, what else do I need to make it a great model (or at least, attempt?). What paints, masks, additional bits and pieces and such do I need? Any help would be appreciated
