  1. oh well for what its worth its finished
  2. is this similar to citadels liquid green stuff? i find that dries quite slowly. After that i use squadron white or milliput white for those deeper fills
  3. Ive been looking at a couple of superglue accelerators One is Acetone based and the other is alcohol based. All i use it for is attaching ariel wires and the occasional PE bit. My concern is will either of these affect my paintwork? i paint with acrylics. Also can anyone suggest a good make? I quite like the idea of this one where i can paint glue on one part and the accelerator on the other bit that its to attach to. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/super-glue-ACCELERATOR-10mls-bottle-Brush-on-/380476114036?pt=UK_ToysGames_ModelKits_ModelKits_JN&hash=item589624c474 I'm open to any suggestions though as i've never used these before
  4. i was copying a scheme id seen online that had quite big blotches like this oh well, maybe next time
  5. My masking experiment hasnt worked as well as i'd hoped, maybe it will look better when decals and weathering applied.
  6. well i got it finished without too many mishaps that staining from the decal softner didnt clean up though
  7. A recent ebay purchase, theres something about italian planes that i like but cant quite put my finger on what Nice looking decals Instructions are basic but tell you all thats needed You get three sprues of almost flash free grey styrene you even get a stand Cockpit is basic with just a seat so its lucky theres a pilot to fill the hole All primed up its starting to show its true beauty
  8. decals applied, the blotchiness you can see i think is from microset, im hoping that will have gone once its dried.
  9. thanks again, i'll try that in future
  10. thanks peeps i wouldnt have known where to start with google on this one
  11. anyone know what kind of plane it is?
  12. oh bugger, i've filled it now LOL I dont really go for accuracy, im just happy if it looks like the plane its supposed to be when ive finished. tonight it got its coat of RLM 71
  13. yellow bits all masked of and rlm65 applied prop spinner decal applied, i think i got away with it on the whole
  14. i tend to be a bit heavy handed with the weathering so this one may end up looking as you feel they should lol not sure about painting the spinner spiral. i may give the decal a go 1st then if microset/sol cant sort it then i suppose i'll have to paint it. I've painted the yellow tail band rather than use the decal supplied as i can never get them to match up properly.
  15. all primed up but cannons and undercarriage to be painted and fitted separately
  16. Started this last night and things began well in the cockpit which has some detail not sure how much of it will show when the canopy is in place I've run into a slight problem when putting the wings together, this molding fault could have been in a better place but at least the wing root looks like it will be nice and snug.
  17. what a discovery this has been thats so much, its made my canopies much tidier and easier to fix
  18. hmm i was looking at getting this kit myself, i'll watch this with interest
  19. the extra decals came courtesy of the spares box, cant remember which planes they came with but definitely luftwaffe stock.
  20. Its Finished even though it didnt have many parts i liked building this one. expensive i suppose but who else makes this particular plane?
  21. wow i nearly sent off for some. is microsol the best option for use on acrylics then?
  22. weathering done and even managed my first successful ariel wire
  23. quite a simple build, i'd definitely get another huma kit if it came along at the right price. splinter camo done tonight, some touching up needed though, i'll do it tomorrow when im less tired.
  24. Decals added, weathering to come tomorrow
  25. topside got its first coat tonight, For RLM 82 i had to use Hu 117
