  1. You may want to take a look at the email again. It said 'due in tomorrow'. You may want to take it up with Airfix (and every other model manufacturer) to ask why they don't deliver what they are supposed to, when they're supposed to. If you think Airfix is bad, try getting Dragon or HaT Industrie kits.
  2. You could pass off any unwanted Bedford trucks to me. It's all I need from the set, and I need 16 of them for my motor company.
  3. Even though Hornby do change their release dates without telling the retailers, at least they do update the dates on their system so that the retailers can find the information. For a lot of the ranges, the release date comes and goes and nothing appears, sometimes for months without any update from the manufacturers. Then there are the companies that will announce kits that are 'coming soon' in the magazines, but they don't appear for years is at all. Then throw in the companies who's items become unavailable without warning, while still being on their listings, with no restock dates. These kits can go out of stock for months, even over a year in some cases, then suddenly turn up without any indication that they were on the way. There are also companies that only release final details of their kits when they are released, including the price, making it impossible to advertise them ahead of release and take pre-orders.
  4. Through Wonderland it would be just over £50 http://www.wonderlandmodels.com/products/dragon-135-us-t-28-super-heavy-tank/ It's a fair whack of cash, but the model is a foot long.
  5. How's this for a size comparison? If you don't mind waiting a couple of weeks I could cast one up for you.
  6. It is I! If it's about tanks and other ground vehicles it's usually me. If it's aircraft it's usually Roddy. Iain usually gets one of us to post product news, facebook competitions, etc as well and rarely posts himself. I forgot to paste in the link to my blog. It's here - http://fog99uk.blogspot.co.uk/search/label/A39%20Tortoise If you do a google image search for A39 Tortoise, most of the images of the model are from my blog, or at least they were before the Meng kit came out.
  7. 40K ships are on a massive scale compared to anything else. To give you an idea, Galaxy Class ships from Star Trek would fit inside an exhaust on an Emperor Class Battleship.
  8. I was in Wonderland Models this morning and they have the new mould Airfix 1/72 Me 109 E-4 in stock Airfix A01008 1/72 Bf 109E-4 The release seem to have come as a surprise as they were not expecting it for about a month. I have just had a look at hannants and they still have it marked as a future release. The kit looks to be a scaled down version of the !/48 kit with a representation of the engine and separate flaps. marking are for Franz von Werra's (The One That Got Away) aircraft of I/JG-3. They has also just got the Airfix re-released 1/48 Sea Harrier FRS.1 - 899 NAS Falklands and Indian Navy markings.
  9. I was planning to use this to make a diorama with for my tank. It's a lot easier to put tank track marks into a muddy dirt road than cruising cobbled streets. Unfortunately It's not big enough for my Tortoise.
  10. Great work. I'm really liking Hobby Boss at the moment; fantastic kits at great prices. I really want their 1/72 Dora, but I don't even have space for the box, let alone the finished model!
  11. It's not a problem. I want another 24 of them, so that I can have the 25 the army ordered (before the Centurion changed tank warfare and made it obsolete).
  12. Yup, with a gun that could punch right through a tiger.
  13. Battleship Cruisers Dreadnought Dreadnought - Pic 2 Group Pic All My Fleet
  14. You have loads there. The Dystopian Wars models are 1/1200 scale. I guess I'll post the pictures of my Brittannia Fleet.
  15. I hate building resin models. At least with the track guards on you can't see how badly fitted the suspension is. I'd love trumpeter to do some British vehicles. I'd love to have plastic kits of the Tortoise, Black Prince and Conqueror.
