  1. I finish at 1 today and I haven't got much work to do this weekend, so I should get some modelling done I do, however, have some bicycle work to be done, which I may post here, if I have nothing better to do Ben
  2. WOW! I love this, looking forward to seeing it with the pilot Ben
  3. I'm very nearly 19 and still have several planes hanging from my ceiling! Here at my uni accommodation I have a 1/72 Hunter painted as Miss Demeanour dangling from the ceiling soon to be followed by a 72 Mk I Spitfire Ben
  4. Ah, of course, the factors are in the continuity equation; Mass Flow Rate = Rho * A * C and then Bernoulli's takes into account the pressure loss due to fluid friction and minor losses... Ben
  5. After three years, my first ever smart phone has finally given up. So I just had to spend £100 for a Galaxy S 3 >:(

I've just got rid of my S3. It was, erm, ok. Battery life was poor, grab a bigger battery. Only needed one reboot a day.

Oops, typo. I meant an Ace 3. TBH, phones are all the same to me! I'm used to charging my phone every night and I carry a portable battery ICE :P

      Now there's a challenge!

  7. Can't argue with that! I've been invited to a mates birthday party tonight so I'm not going to finish the model, ah well. Usually I'd continue modelling on Sunday, however I'm off out with the cycling club Ben
  8. I reckon I'll have it built (not painted) tonight! Time for to make dinner!
  9. The awful pilot figures is in. I also scratch built a Mk I gun sight out of thin clear plasticard. Ben
  10. Hi all, Today is the first day that I have no uni work to do so, I'm going to see if I can Blitzbuild Airfix's 1/72 Spitfire Mk I. Sprues And we're off! Ben
  11. Confused me too. As I understand, in order to maintain the same back pressure in each cylinder (and therefore maximise engine efficiency) exhausts should be kept the same length from cylinder to exit - just as you see on performance motorcycles. Of course, there is the highly likely chance that I am mistaken! Ben
  12. Cheers There's a small motor beneath the cowl. The wires for it run down the stand (photoshopped out) to a battery and switch in the base. She gets a few mentions in comments Ben
  13. Dragging up an old thread here, I managed to find some pictures that my girlfriend edited a while back. I quite like them, they look pretty authentic for 1/72 scale Hope someone out there likes it! Ben
  14. Nowhere in the UK is far from Coningsby when you can fly at well over 1000 mph Ben
  15. Try Ospreys P-51 RAF to Eigth Air Force. Pretty sure that has some drwaings. Ben
  16. Airfix is great for fun easy cheap builds that IMO look really good. Academy is another that is very decently priced, but some of their kits are very inaccurate. Revell is very similar to Academy... Ben
