      It takes years for the PO owner to get used to you. Mine hated me for years. He seems to love me now. No idea what happened for either scenario.

      The local PO owner always came across as a grumpy jobsworth until one day we got talking about aircraft in general and the Hawker Hunter in particular. BFFs now.

      I've spent my whole life (all 17 years of it) living in a small village so the previous owner knew myself and my entire family (and most the village) on a first name basis. Seems that all the small village shops/PO's are being brought out by larger chains and the people who work there don't live in the flat above the PO... Shame really
