BANANA!!! Well I had to really... Finished!!
exdraken replied to modelling minion's topic in Helicopter / Autogyro / STOVL GB
Oh, really nice! Fantastic scheme! Love the white roof/ top area! -
decals (~14?) are on, it turned out to be XM533 anybody knows if the SKY PIRATES motto was on in theatre already? hard to tell for me from the few photos out there... the decals looks fantastic, as does the artwork representation (and the original artwork of course!) to me they should be a little bit bigger.... I have a hard time to adjust it relative to all the panels and canopy at the same time... never mind, reslut looks great! no clear coat on top as of yet, but tat is soon to come, and some weathering!

We did not find this great photo.... https://www.airhistory.net/photo/241006/4403 From the Tornado Warning GB chat thread -
I used the Revell exhausts on mine... So I assume the ones made for Revell kits will fit as well. Maybe some slight trimming/sanding is necessary

8 lift engines! Oh great.. Nice progress and project! -
Thanks for the additional photos! Very nice! Do not be too harsh to yourself, there is no model without errors...and good photography is difficult, yours is really fine!

Not sure, but Europe is a continent, everybody but the Britisch see the Britisch islands as a part of Europe.... And relative to what is going on in the Greek/ Turkish area or Baltics, Belorussia or Ukraine, I'd say it is pretty stable, or at least I do hope so! even though some think a rather radical change will make all better...

wow! that is some hefty loadout! great work on the model! what colors did you use?

scalemates give the history of many kits: here for Starfighters in 48th: https://www.scalemates.com/kits/revell-04668-f-104g-starfighter-tiger-meet--102295 kits dates back to the 1978 Monogram kit if you are in only for recessed panel line, go for Hasegawa or Kinetic. The Monogram kit will be way cheaper though, and is also quite nice!

Looks like a cross, so must be a Warthog! Very nice work!

Wow! That is an A-5 / MiG-19 derivative, no!? Cool photo! Were they imporoved for low/ fast in any way? The MiG-19 was capable of supersonic flight , but I'd guess at altitude...

I stand corrected thanks! more here: http://www.916-starfighter.de/F-104_Starfighters_2015.pdf, and nice photos here: https://forums.airshows.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=82851 still, those Starfighters are not in-flight refueling capable, please correct me again! back to the VC-10
