  1. Did you ever finish this Bruce? Looking great so far!
  2. Excellent thread! Here's my Airfix that i built a couple of years ago
  3. Thanks Francis I've been doing bits and pieces as time allows, and now the tractor unit is almost finished. Excuse the poor quality photo's , they were just quickly done with my phone. I've a bit more weathering to do, mostly on the tyres, then i can start painting the trailer unit. I'm still thinking about how to set it off in a diorama, but narrowed down the load to either a Sherman, or possibly a Tiger. Too heavy i know, but i reckon they would have tried if they had the chance..... Thanks for looking, Nick
  4. Fantastic work! I've visited Pegasus bridge a couple of times and have been tempted to build something similar.. Youve set the bar high! On a separate note can i pick you're brains about the perspex display case? I need something similar to house a Dragon Wagon dio, but so far i've only found very expensive options.. Did you make yours yourself?
  5. Excellent work Steve, you've built a cracker!
  6. Blimey 25 years ago!? It was the first airshow i had ever been to, miraculous that nobody was injured or worse. Fantastic model, set off very nicely with the base and figure.
  7. Blimey it's been a while..... Life got in the way and the poor old Dragon wagon got put on the sidelines. But i've recently made some progress, should be an update soon with what i've been up to.
  8. Gimme that which i desire...... Cool thread (and title). Looks a nice kit!
  9. Oh thats very very nice! Amazing attention to detail. I find the cockpit quite interesting, i take it front and back are separated by that 'windshield' (for want of a better term)? Why is that?
  10. Fantastic work, it looks to be a very good kit, and i like the scratch building. Looking forward to more, Nick
  11. Nicely done!
  12. Wow, fantastic build - looks like a cracking kit.
  13. Lovely build, and a great paint finish. Ugly aircraft though! (In a good way)
  14. Thanks guys. Not a lot more i can do before paint now so think i'll make a start on the trailer fairly soon. Then it will be paint time, and i think i will need a lot of it!
  15. Hi chaps, i've been quietly beavering away at it, i don't get a whole lot of spare time but nonetheless i have made a bit of progress. The bulk of the tractor unit is now built, the winch (which is a complete kit in itself!) is now done, as is the a frame and tyre changing crane (not pictured, i forgot to add it lol). All thats left now are the lights, tools and a few other small fixtures and fittings. Still really enjoying the build, it's a hell of a lot of work and easily my most demanding one yet - The Tamiya 1/32 Zero is nothing compared to this.. haha. The fit of everything is perfect, typical Tamiya. I'm now starting to think ahead to how i'm going to display it, it will be big as the finished wagon is 20" long and i intend to have a few other bits and pieces too. Thanks for looking, Nick
  16. Excellent work, and i like your weathering. Looks very natural. Nick
  17. Ace job. I was lucky enough to see Fury in action (ok, trundling round a field) and you've got it spot on. The figures are great too, very very lifelike. Nick
  18. Great work Steve, you've inspired me to crack on with my build, lost all the will lately but reading posts like yours fires up the mojo again. Nick
