  1. Hi all. This is my first WIP so please excuse any cock ups in the editing, but please feel free to coment any tips more than welcome and any hints to referece material. I built one of these kits many moons ago and enjoyed it very much so much so i decided to do it again but to be honest this is a dry run for doing the Academy kit of the same thing but with that one I would like to add the interior. I have put the basics of the hull together and started to add the arms for the wheels but realised these had some really bad sink marks so stopped and filled them with Liquid Green stuff from Citadel. So the rest of the suspension arms need sanding and then fitting. As you can see from the pics above I have also filled some sink marks on the hull sides wiith the same Liquid green stuff, I've never used this before so lets hope it paints over ok. I have done a little more work since theese pics but haven't down loaded the pics from my camera to the computer, will try and update later. Technology really is a pain at times, or is it human error? Thanks for looking, more later.
  2. Very nice, I'll be watching with interest.
  3. Very nice! Well done. Airfix have got some lovley 1/72 scale kits i think, you can do what you want with them either build from the box or add detail. What a great hobby we all share!
  4. Wow!!! What fantastic model making, I first looked at this build just out of curiosity but now I'm hooked. Well done, keep up the good work.
  5. Like it you are making some great progress. I Love the idea and method of mounting. Well done.
  6. Just started this same kit myself and love the finish you've gotten. I don't know whether to go with the kit decals or find some aftermarket ones, plenty time yet.
  7. I have to agree with markjames68 about the interior, Love it. Will follow with intrest.
  8. I'll keep an eye on this one too, i also think that white scheme will look great and different.
  9. Keep going Dave. Great to see a Spey Phantom especially as a Treble One squadron aircraft. I can't wait to see this finished reminds me of being a kid, we used to cycle along to Leuchars on summer evenings and stand at the end of the runway in the hope to see a Phantom take off or come in to land over our heads. Happy days. All the best.
  10. Hi. I would like to thank you for all your hard work and providing inspiration to me and I'm sure so many others. I stumbled upon this site yesterday looking for some reference shots for the same model and found your build. After reading the whole thing and finding all the reference I think I need to complete my build, I think it's time to add more detail. Your cockpit and ejector seats are amazing I just hope I can now pull something better than I originally intended out of the bag. Once again thanks for the inspiration, truly fantastic. Cheers.
