Hi Pappy, Just found your Daupin II build (Helo GB), unfortunate that you couldn't finish it. I've had one on the bench since 2019 but then lost the windscreen, wrote to KH but as yet nothing. No Post from China!!! Anyway, I bought a second kit so I can finish it.
I had all the issues you had building yours, the hole drilling I didn't! However, I think it is a good kit as is the Seasprite, I'm building elsewhere on BM.
Have you to around to finishing your build yet?

Good luck, but I personally would love to see KH do a 1/48 Puma ( since this is awishlist, I would also love a Caracal!) instead. For such a successful design it still amazes me that this has not happened in 1/48 already, but another Huey kit is a safer bet. I believe th Heller produced a kit that is at once both rare and innaccurate as well as being 1/50

G'day Colin, welcome back.
I think it is a great kit but one that does not suffer fools. It is crammed with detail but it seems that with most KH kits, if you want to build them with closed panels you need to be prepared for a fight - their Jaguar kit s are notorious for this and probably the worst example. I found that you do need to test fit a lot and sometimes clean the parts up to improve fit but generally, they do fit will. Tamiya tragics will whinge that the fit is not like Tamiya, but then again how many helicopter kits have Tamiya released?
I have not gotten back to it. I found some good pics of the transmission area and I need to add some hydraulic hoses so I ordered some lead wire of various diameters, while waiting I ran out of time on the GB and had started on the next subject. It is rreally not far off from painting but I just need to be in the mood to finish it.
I have ordered replacement parts through KH before, I used the email address for 'Sophia Lym (SP)' and the service was good but not fast. That was pre-COVID and relations between Oz and China have gone downhill so that post from there is decidely slower these days,
