Hi again , after I generally finished Airfix Lynx I've decided to continue with my previous project - Skunkmodels Jayhawk. A lot of work and correction is required. Walkaround pictures are from here: http://www.primeportal.net/hangar/michael_block/mh-60j_6003/ This is what I did so far: cheers!

Thanks all, I appreciate it and glad you like it It first started as a "weekend build", but the things got complicated. this model just screams for details. Regards, Marko -
you can find the model generally finished here: http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234982951-airfix-lynx-hma8-148-finished-more-or-less/ tnx

Hi there, well it is finished. Few bits here ant there still to do, and some wash to be cleaned. I've noticed today that I've put the grey decal on the roof in the wrong position damnnn *facepalm* Nothing that can't be fixed though, but I'll take a brake for a few weeks. Didn't put the wipers yet, need to figure out some replacement. I plan to tie it down to the deck and put few accessories here and there to make it more alive Thanks for watching Cheers!

Hi again, I did the torpedoes and mounts - a lot of scrtach there (and frustration). Cheers

Thanks all! Sorry, I didn't take any progress pictures. All in all I quite like this kit. Will make another one for sure. Regards

Hi, a few more pictures. I think I am now finished with the base, except the grill, I'll maybe fix the colour. Cheers! Marko
-
thanks both, yes, its on my to do list. white paint was just applied. I will work on the grill also, since you are right. Also, I think the frame of the grill should be grey/steel, so I'll try to fix it.

Hi again, I decided to make the deck section for the base. I know it might not be quite accurate, but since the only purpose of this is just a stand, it will fine. I did my best from the poor reference I have. I've used scalewarship set - Grill and tie downs for type 23 frigate. very nice and useful set. Here are few progress pic:

Hi, thanks all. I've used gunye sangyo H61 + H305 + bit of H317 + a lot of white. Hi Albert, I agree for the blue on pic, but on the pic is far too bright blue, it is quite darker in real. in some pic original does appear to be a bit bluish though. for my future builds (I really like this model ) I'll add a few drops of smoke, but generally I think I'll use the same color.

Thanks all, I hope it will be finished soon. Cheers

Hi there, here are few progress pic of the model I've started for relaxation, oob, with few bits in the interior here and there. Thanks for watching, bye

Hi again, here are some new pic of the progress. I did work on cockpit since last update quite regulary, but as you can see based on the progress pic, it was very time consuming. Still some work required on those MFD's, and especially on the middle part (a lot of work left there). I'll use those grill's (passive cooler?) on the MFD's from PE flightpath set, cuted to fit. Regarding the FP set, I'm not sure if I can say that I am satisfied with it. There is obviously something wrong with the size of the revell MFD's but also with the FP's ones. I understand that it is made for italeri kit, but some of the parts should fit any 1/48 scale Tornado, like those MFD and the middle console. Also, the FP ladder don't have holes on the standing platform (!?). However, I will use some FP parts, but they will be cuted out and fitted to the cockpit part. I've caculated that the FP set is more useful and econimc than eduard interior + eduard ladders, because of the large pe fret and resin parts, and you get ladders also. But from the instructions I couldn't see that there are no holes in ladders, and parts that should be "universal" are oversized, so my conclusion is questionable. The middle console is undersized in the revell kit, just as MFD's, so I've made it bigger by "dressing" it in 0.4mm styrene all around. Here are some fresh pic, bye for now :

Me too sometimes, but I've been planning to build detailed gulf war tornado for a loooong time, and this time I'll skip eduard (interior though, I'll use underacrriage set, found some useful things there )

Hello, here are few pictures of the current progress. I wanted to secure the cockpit to the right part of the fuselage, cause I'll do a lot of surgery and need to have the cockpit steady . After thinking what would be best for the cockpit, I came to the conclusion that I should do most of things myself. I will use few bits from flightpath set. Eduard is very disappointing IMO. those flat painted things are just not my option. For 20+ Euros they could at least do the accurate rear MFD boxes. Luckily fp set is here. We'll see along how much will I be able to use. Maybe someone will use Neomega cockpit, but, as I said already in some topic revell made it very difficult to fit in other cockpits like neomega, mostly becasue the wheel bay (the bottom part of the wheelbay is part of the cockpit) and the fact that cockpit is essential for holding up together wheel bay, left and right fuselage and the bottom Thanks for watching

Yeah, I've been struggling to find them (and Paragon ones) but no luck. So if anyone is willing to sell, pls contact me. can pay wit paypal.

Hi, does anyone know where can I get JP233 in 1/48 scale?
-
Btw, IMO revell made it very difficult to fit in other cockpits like this neomega, mostly becasue the wheel bay (the bottom part of the wheelbay is part of the cockpit) and the fact that cockpit is essential for holding up together wheel bay, left and right fuselage and the bottom. I mean, everything is possible, but major surgery (and dry fitting) will be required for droping in the anything else. Thats why I've decided to update the kit part rather than droping in something else. I'm sure that aires will do a great job, but I'm in a hurry
