  1. Good to see someone else releasing their inner five year old.šŸ˜‰ Are you starting 'Lego Masters Yorkshireland'? Always liked lego for how it stretches the imagination of all ages. The Beemer certainly looks like an impressive kit.
  2. This morning a fully kitted out Daimler Dingo Scout car passed by complete with an old guy poking out of the turret wearing a headset. Has the balloon gone up?
  3. This is my first memory of driving lessons, since progressing I have mostly managed to avoid the skirting boards.
  4. Why not make templates from the kit clear parts and transfer to acetate sheet? Then you could pose part of the window open.
  5. I managed to take a photo of this today, I've seen it a few times in passing but it's been too quick for me.
  6. This kit arrived yesterday but without 'THE DOCTOR' decals for the rear side windows [more NHS cuts?šŸ¤£] so it's back to the drawing board.
  7. I have messaged LeMans decals highlighting the issues with their sheet. It will be interesting to read their reply when/if any is forthcoming. I did ask why there were no decal placement instructions and was told to look for photos, a cheap cop-out in my opinion. Pity they don't appear to follow their own advice. I have also come across a Facebook group who try to assist in identifying motorsport decals, as does this forum, so there is help out there.
  8. These will be thrown at the printer in the near future. Something a little different to the ones in the kit.
  9. I've had a similar issue with Hasegawa decals cracking on a Toyota Corolla WRC. I've got some replacements, a different scheme than the kit one, but due to incorrect markings on the sheet I have drawn up the correct items. The body is awaiting a bath in IPA. I hope you do get the Focus sorted after doing all the work on the interior.
  10. Thanks Keith, they look pretty close with a flatter spoke profile than the Sparco's I found.
  11. Nothing like ā€˜em. Too many spokes and the centre is too big. The closest match I have found are Sparco FF1.
  12. Despite a trawl of the usual sites, Speedline, Compomotive, OZ I am unable to find a good photo ref for the 10 spoke wheels on this car. Ideally if anyone can post a link to a full frontal shot [not the page 3 type, ooh err!] that would be amazing.
  13. I've just ordered this to go with my Carlos Sainz Network Q Rally of Britain scheme. And I'm mulling over the previous year's Nastro Azzuro scheme.
  14. I recently unearthed a half finished Hasegawa Corolla Portugal Rally kit, Castrol scheme, and found that some of the decals have cracked along the body contours, mainly the red and green flashes. I found Le Mans Decals do several replacement schemes and was wondering what people's experiences have been with ordering directly from their website and what that the quality and application of their decals is like. Thanks. EDIT: I should have done a search before posting. I Have had a browse and found another forum post with the same request. Replies suggest they are of good quality so I will go ahead and order the sheet I need. UPDATE: I went ahead and ordered the decals as per LeMans Decals ad on eBay. It's difficult to clearly see the detail but given the breadth of items they produce I was hoping for good results. The decals arrived, in the meantime I had scoured the internet of truth for on-event images and a good selection was sourced giving views all round and also this VIDEO is available. Here is the decal sheet. Given the available references I can't fathom why there are so many errors for the MoviStar logos on this sheet. The No.5's to the rear side windows are missing. And even the 'Network Q' font style on the number boards is not correct. I messaged the seller about placement instructions, thinking they may have been forgotten to be included, and I have yet to receive a response. So I've used the references I found to draw up the incorrect and missing items. I just hope the useable decals go onto the kit without issue. This is the first and last sheet I will be getting from LeMans Decals.
  15. Thanks for the comprehensive response @Anteater itā€™s much appreciated. I've grabbed the image from the Blomkvist car and will use that as a basis for the navigatorā€™s side of the Toughmac car, figuring that once I have built the kit someone will come along with a photo of the car in period, as per usual.
  16. The photo is from a Youtube video of a Toughmac Sierra. There is a Terratrip 2 to the right of the 'Monit'. Here is the photo in full frame but it is of 20i5 vintage, I want to depict the original car as on the 1991 Ulster Rally driven by Bertie Fisher, but can't find an interior view from that period. I assumed the dashboard to have been the same. @Anteater you appear to know far more about what would have been fitted. Maybe a Halda would be period correct?
  17. Thanks for the functionality explanation. Maybe I wasnā€™t clear, itā€™s the dimensions Iā€™m after. Edit, I have found a Monit Rally Computer which looks about right and the dimensions fit the photo, so I shall go with that.
  18. Hello, notice I posted "classic" as opposed to "OLD"šŸ˜ Can someone identify this piece of equipment, this is on a Sierra Sapphire Cosworth. I have had a look at some rally equipment suppliers but they don't appear to have devices from the good old days. A link to a clearer photo or dimensioned drawing would be appreciated. Or if someone had one bolted to a car in their garage they can measure and photo, then even better. .
  19. I can wholeheartedly agree with the angst fitting the body over the chassis causes, having built two of these kits. For the last one I replaced the side windows with clear sheet and lowered the side windows. Build HERE but probably a bit late now? You'll have a very tidy model once it's done.
  20. FYI re parking charges, if you pre book via YOUR PARKING SPACE you can get a discounted rate. It cost me Ā£4.99 between 09.00-16.00 hours o'clock. And scour the internet for voucher codes to save the booking fee. I enjoyed what I saw for the 1/2 hour I was there before being carted off to LGI. Thanks to those first aiders who looked after me until the ambulance arrived.
  21. Doing some shopping and eBay says this fits a vehicle. I'm not so sure? Answers on a postcard.
  22. Glad to see that you arrived at a solution in the end. Missing finger ends = proper model making šŸ¤£
