About Me
Like many, I started out with Airfix and went through the spitfires etc on cotton pinned to the bedroom ceiling phase. I also began to get interested in tanks and such and slowly lost interest in things with wings. Upon leaving school at 15 I joined the Army and went into the Junior Leaders Royal Armoured Corps. Stationed directly opposite the famous Bovington Tank Museum was a great way to learn about all things armoured and kept my interest in model making alight. Trained as a Gunner on Chieftain amongst other things and also saw a bit of the world. Continued model making on and off until finally settling down and getting wed. Working life has been cut short due to various accidents and now spend as much time surfing the modelling sites etc as I do making models. Won Best of Show in 07 at the Glasgow Modelling Show for a Diorama showing a Ford T of the Australian Light Horse, in a desert setting; Palestine 1917.
