Glad I've missed it then, other than the Telford announcement! -
Oh that's a shame.... I don't follow ARC. So, nothing to the same effect posted here on Britmodeller, even though there are currently 35 pages of comments on the AMK F-14?

When / where did Martin say that final production parts would be at Telford? I would love to have known that in advance and seen the parts. In an earlier post on this website I made reference that it would be nice to see something at Telford (or something like that), but I don't recall that a response was forthcoming.

I too don't use Alclad so walked past their stand several times. Had I known the F-14 was there I would of course have loved to have taken a look. What a shame there wasn't a prior announcement (a) that the tomcat was there and (b) where it could be viewed. AMK missed a trick there....could have increased their sales, especially since there were at least 4 built up Tamiya F-14s to compare with just a short distance away.

Yes....I looked for any mention of it and didn't see it either.....would be interested to know which stand it was on.

Meteorologically 15 December is winter in the UK, so we missed the summer deadline ...and indeed the autumn Still happy to wait, though!

Just as an aside for all of us Tomcat lovers, I've spotted a YouTube trailer for this upcoming game based on the F-14 ......see link below. The graphics on the trailer are just out of this world and might provide another reference source for modelling our bird (A/B version), assuming they're accurate of course!

Wing swing mechanism yes; flaps, slats & spoilers no = Tamiya Wing swing mech no; flaps, slats and spoilers yes = AMK. You pays yer money and you takes yer choice! Me = AMK anyday!

A superb result to be proud of. Can't wait to start mine now. A question.....would you say it was worth investing in the Eduard cockpit & internal detail set, or would it be not visible on the completed model?

I assume that means that Hannants were not part of the "official" AMK pre-order scheme, but Hannants have been listing the kit as available to pre-order through their own website for over a year.

Thank you Martin for the update and excellent news that we won't have to wait too long now. I've had my pre-order in with Hannants since early days! Only question for me then is how many shall I have! Hope you are feeling better.

Can't believe AMK didn't accept pre-orders from the UK.. ..considering the expected huge demand that I anticipate from us in the UK - I want at least 2!
