  1. Stunning work as usual Matt. Hope you had a good holiday. I do have a question that you, or someone here can possibly help with. I've got to the stage of putting some lines in that are made of the rubber like material. My question is what is the best adhesive to use?
  2. Matt, I may blog the build - it will be a slow process though, I'm not the quickest builder - plus the fact that you've already set the bar incredibly high.
  3. Well having gained clearance from the financial director, I have ordered the model from a hobbyshop here in the UK. Wish me luck!
  4. Thanks for the comprehensive answer Matt. I think that I will probably buy the resin sets over time as you suggest. I am happy scratch building and comfortable with PE having built a 350th Bismark with about 10 million PE parts - at least that's how it felt. I will definitely be using your exceptional build as a reference. Thanks again, Andy.
  5. Matt, that is a simply stunning build. Although I'm usually an aircraft builder (hence the avatar), I'm seriously tempted by one of these. Having looked at the AFV shop site, I see that some of the resin parts are eye wateringly expensive. I usually factor in about 50% for upgrade parts but for this particular model, that probably won't be enough. I wonder whether you'd be kind enough to to share what you consider are the 'must have' and 'nice to have' options.
  6. I was visiting friends in Oulton Broad this weekend so guess where I ended up I came out with the Tamiya Thunderbird F-16 and acouple of Eduard PE sets ( for this and the Bicentennial F-15 that's in the post) and parted with a shade over £100 For gawds sake don't tell the wife. Currently building the Hasegawa Blacklions F-14A with a couple of Eduard sets, Aries wheel wells and Eagle strike Bicentennial markings. Should look fab but getting hellish expensive.
  7. This is all good stuff. Where is this fabled Tamiya shop? Yes, I know it's in Ledras St but where in the world is that?
  8. Thanks for the information - and the warm welcome. "Wave upon wave of demented avengers walked cheerfully out of obscurity into the dream" Pink Floyd - Sheep
