  1. Hi Phil, it's the old 1/48 scale Monogram kit. I paid about £5 for it at a second hand stall....Waddington Air Show a few years back.
  2. The oldies are sometimes the best. Picked this one up at Waddington for a couple of quid added a couple of seats with the rest OOB. Can't remember where the figures came from. Cheers.
  3. Thanks all for the kind comments and most of all the kind 'welcome'. Cheers Brian.
  4. What a coincidence...my great grandfather and grandmother emigrated from Tavistock up to the Durham Coalfields 1870's 80s.... surname Jury. Brian.
  5. Hi Rich, the kit came with two sets of markings: P-40, Air a Cutie, 36th FS, 8th FG, New Guinea,November 1943. the other set was the same as above with the exception of a Blonde (similar pose - bigger whats it's) along the port side. Brian.
  6. Finished this one the early part of the year. Always have a soft spot for Skyhawks, I think they are great little planes. Without exception "Lady Jessie" tops the bill for me, and reading the history makes it all the more so, especially the article; "Stopping by Carlin Nevada" (bottom page link) http://a4skyhawk.org/3e/va164/va164.htm Anyway some pictures of my completed model. Brian.
  7. Very nice, i've recently finished the Hasegawa Sufa, but nowhere near as impressive a finish.
  8. Black Hawks are the Buis. This one no exception!
  9. Hi all, 2nd post of today...starting to get the hang of it, well I think so. Thanks.
  10. Thanks Neil and All for the welcome, yes my name with 'an' on the end. I'll get some more picks up soon, i've got plenty...been modelling for quite a while... all scales and types for fun.
