    RLM paint sets

Many apologies if this has been asked before... Is there a manufacturer making a decent RLM enamel paint set? Must be airbrush freindly. Many thanks Clive
  4. Thanks Depressed Lemur (which is by far and away the best forum moniker I've ever heard) Once I've completed the bulkhead, should I tag it on to this thread, or start a new one? Thanks mate Clive
  5. Thanks Abacus. Next time I think I'll use resin to super detail the cockpit.....finding the PE a real challenge!? Clive
  6. Those plans look the business Adrian! I admire your resolve to make it look right. Best of luck with the rest! Clive
  7. Having mastered the gremlins of Photobucket.... Sorry its been this long since I joined this forum. Its taken me 5 months at 2 hours a week, which at least gave me plenty of time to research!. I'm pretty pleased with the outcome seeing as I havn't done any modelling in 4 years. I had to re-learn the "joys" of photo etched parts. Sorry if there is a bit of blurring on a couple of the pic's. The only home made add-on of my own is a control cable to the stick. I used the 12 year old JP Enamel paint that had kicking around but I plan to invest in some nice new White Ensign enamels for the outer skin. Any tips on this model much appriciated Clive
  8. Evening, In the proccess of building the cockpit in the the 1/48 profipak 190D late, and having looked back at some similar builds on this site, cant help but feel the PE part that is bent into what looks like a control box of some sort and then glued onto the left hand side of the panel, does not appear to have been used by (for e.g) Gary Adams in his model?. On looking at some photos of a 190D cockpit, the part does seem to be there but is much smaller and lower than the part provided. I wondered if anybody has built this kit and had the same dilema? Many thanks in advance Clive
  9. Cheers Howard! Thats a really usefull link. Might PM you to pick your brain on the detail if thats ok?.....love your work by the way!! Many thanks Clive
  10. Hi all Just got back into modelling after a couple of years. I'll get about one 3 hour session a week at the moment due to family, but at least I'll be focused!! Bought a 1/48 FW190 D9 from Eduard via Amazon, and got stuck in last night. First impressions are very good but not Tamiya like perfection. Guess this will become clearer as the build develops?. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone on here had built this kit and could warn me of any impending disaster areas etc? Thanks very much Clive
