  1. Thanks Charlie. A quick google image search for "Miles Master II" shows loads of wavy lines. I wonder if the wavy leading edge border was just a Miles thing. The landing lights are wine bottle foil punched out with a leather punch, rubbed over a paintbrush end to get the dome effect. I'm a recent convert to using clear sellotape for the cover. The light recess is all sealed up so it doesn't collect dust on the sticky inside (so far). Regards, Adrian
  2. I’m going away for work for a week but I wanted to get started on the upper camouflage before I went. I still have to fix the canopy, add the aerial and make an engine vent but I could do the wavy leading edge masking: Thanks for looking, Adrian
  3. Smashing build. I really like the engine panels - the effect is very convincing. Regards, Adrian
  4. Wow, it's hard work keeping up with the Whitley Thunderbolt SR-71 and drone! Looking good though. Regards, Adrian
  5. Hope your vertigo clears up/gets managed. Looking forward to seeing the Best Airfix Anson ever get across the finish line too. Regards, Adrian
  6. Spaddad, I give you the Revell X-15. I cut off the integral nosewheel door from the front undercarriage leg and substituted the closed one as it was less clunky, and I did add the little flap on the door. So, er, no but I was trying! Regards, Adrian
  7. The detailing is looking splendid! Regards, Adrian
  8. None more yellow... Nine coats. It will need a little rub down but it’s gone on very nicely. Regards, Adrian
  9. Busted! Again!! Aw, c’mon, it’s only a teeny weeny bit of Milliput... Regards, Adrian
  10. Off the wall prototype and kit (first WIP I’ve seen for a Planet Models kit) and a great thread to catch up on! It looks great in NMF too. Thanks, Adrian
  11. Four so far, and it’s starting to get there. Leaving it to dry overnight. Regards, Adrian
  12. A painfully familiar sight for all my fellow travellers through the trainers GB earlier this year: Thanks for looking, Adrian
  13. Before Milliput there was a 3-4 mm gap at the sides whereas photos show the gills to be quite close fitting. I think I’m happy with this after sanding down: I’m going to give it all a coat of grey to check for flaws and also to have a uniform starting point for the yellow. Thanks for looking, Adrian
  14. Beautiful work on the canopy and its framing. Persistence pays off (and you get a lot of other models done while you're waiting for inspiration!). Regards, Adrian
  15. So the second one is getting converted to a Master MkII. Earlier in the thread I moulded a copy of a Mercury engine from a Frog Blenheim and bought two beautiful resin Mercury cowlings from SBS. I’ve assembled the main pieces too but it looks just the same as the first one. Until Now. I have used Milliput to widen the fuselage to meet the new larger Mercury cowling: The left over Milliput didn’t go to waste - more mouldings. Sanding and fitting tomorrow. Thanks for looking, Adrian
  16. That is looking very sharp! Looking forward to the paint. Regards, Adrian
  17. Depends on whether you want your tea to taste of white wine vinegar or not....
  18. All I can say is that every kit you do from now on will be just that little bit more joyous! I admire your tenacity, and it’s looking a lot more like a Beaufort with your improvements than FROG intended... Regards, Adrian
  19. Let’s hope the interview goes as well as your Shark struts! I think I’d be more worried about 28 pieces of thin brass rod... Regards, Adrian
