  1. The Cedevere is in the post now and I look forward to seeing these progress. Prototype (more or less OOB) or production (lots of detail changes)? Regards, Adrian
  2. This is a bit of a masterclass in figure modelling. Fabulous transformation! Regards, Adrian
  3. Wow! Good job I found this thread before you have fin... whoopsie
  4. This is an interesting conversion. The prototype looks really shark-like compared to the production one. Love the attention to detail going on here! Regards, Adrian
  5. I guess this counts as your second dual control Spitfire? Probably more comfortable flying inside.... Regards, Adrian
  6. It’s going to be hard to tell which is vac and which is injection -they both look perfect! Regards, Adrian
  7. That’s an amazing amount of detailing - I’m glad it isn’t all going to be hidden! Regards, Adrian
  8. He’s not tight, just average... Sorry Edward, I do believe there was a Lysander (and hopefully a successful house move) going on in these parts...
  9. Looks great. It captures exactly the way the wavy lines define the blobs. And even more impressive for controlling the size and randomness as well as doing it so neatly. Regards, Adrian
  10. ... having just made my connecting flight in the rain and sleet at ORD yesterday I am prepared to testify that trips involving Chicago and airports are not fun! Regards, Adrian
  11. I have. I filed the bumps off when I used the Airfix Beaufighter wings on my Airfrog Beaufort, then had to add them back on when the appropriate photo turned up! Nice Beaufighting so far. Looking forward to a brown and green one! Regards, Adrian
  12. Galaxy Destroyer looks awesome! Lysander's looking good too. Regards, Adrian
  13. It's looking good and I like the seat! Thinning the trailing edges does make a whole lot of difference, and I wish I had known about the metal covering behind the ammunition hatches when I was doing mine... Regards, Adrian
  14. "A smear of filler" It looks so-o-o-ooo close to a standard Sunderland fuselage but then they slip in an extra section and tweak the planing surfaces. Grrrr.... Regards, Adrian
  15. I wonder if you will reach a point where you "think in CAD", like when you learn a foreign language you eventually start to speak it without first translating it from your native tongue? We are all so used to using physical tools and materials to build complex shapes that we forget the learning process that got us there. Regards, Adrian
  16. This is looking marvellous. The wing rib effect is a huge improvement on the kit, and the gold nacelles will give it a nice bit of colour too. Regards, Adrian
  17. The weathering looks great! I admire your use of reference photos of the real thing to get a realistic effect rather than "weathering by numbers". Look forward to seeing more progress. Regards, Adrian
  18. Thanks Geoff! I am on a work trip and stuck in a hotel this weekend. I was thinking about bringing it with me to do something over the weekend but decided I had too much work to catch up on. When I saw the state of my case on the luggage carousel I was rather glad I didn't! Regards, Adrian
  19. The dry fit picture really shows off the quality and subtle fabric work. Nice going. Regards, Adrian
  20. Shame about the oil tank but well done for extracting it without damage. I'm 4000 miles away from my copy of the kit so I don't know, but would it be worth drilling into the centre section spars to add wire stubs to support the wings? it looks a bit butt-jointy to me and I can't tell from online pictures of the instructions how secure the join will be. Please bear in mind that on a UK forum, telling us your house was built in 1921 will most likely evoke "Oooh hark at him - living in something all modern". In all my adult life l have yet to live in a house built after 1900 (or to be warm in winter). Regards, Adrian
  21. Nice work! It looks nicely detailed but the fit seems to be less than stellar... If Ced's saying that then you must be positively hypersonic! Regards, Adrian
  22. I will look forward to your build. PE always looks spectacular when it's done so it's worth having a shot. If you are going to use CA glue for it, you might want to have a test run beforehand to make sure it isn't going off. I've found that out the hard way on a few occasions myself! Regards, Adrian
