Hi there! As mentioned earlier, I was not very happy with the robotic arm idea so started over... Finally this is how is going to be (or that I hopes ) I will represent one of the legs of the beast as if it was being replaced with another one that is only primed... A few robots (currently working on the master) will be doing maintenance task around the chicken... This is how looks the leg right now I'm not using oils at all... All washes done with Vallejo. It was looong ago since my previous efects airbrushing work so I think it doesnt look too bad... Now I0m trying to decide to start with all that grey... Hope you like!

Aston Martin DBR9 Le Mans. Airfix 1/32

Thanks a lot! -
Thanks!! So this was an easy kit, isnt it? As I cant get a grip on myself, I started to look for something to open and do some detailing... This was what I cut... And where is it? Ok, its on the leg... Of course you need to put something there.... And then I started to think about something working on that area and did this robotic arm using Lego pieces, plastic, etc... Still need the "hand" section, and lots of wiring, bolts, etc, but its an start... The idea is to build a little scene with the scout, the "wounded" leg and the robotic arm...

Thanks, mate -
Hi there! As soon as I finished the DBR9 I started with another thing I, almost, never tried before; SCI-FI Having in count I'm a fan of the SW movies, seeing the great kits Bandai is now offering, and really motivated by the superb work Andy Moore did in his WIP, I decided to go with this chicken-thing. The fist you notice is that the box it's really full of plastic... The cockpit its really well detailed. I only removed the crew "connectors" on the seats, replaced with cushions made of epoxy putty and added a few bits here and there. There are five pieces for the cockpit. As mentioned earlier, very well detailed I used Gunze for the interiors and did some highlighting with darker and lighter colors. Details with Vallejo. I used some decal bits to spice up a bit the "office", and some pigments to add a it of wear... I decapitated one of the members of the crew and added his helmet to the central console... As you probably already know, this kit is really well engineered and almost need no glue at all Instead of dealing with putty, for only a few minor gaps, I decided to cover those gaps with more styrene Hope you like it and thanks for comment

Thanks again! BTW I added a new detail pic, I forgot to include previously, about the fake rear air intake: http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234971859-aston-martin-dbr9-airfix-132/#entry2133536 -

One thing I forgot to talk about was the fake air intake over the right rear wheel I replicated it by cutting a piece of paper with the shape of the intake and airbrushing it flat black. Then put it on a piece of thin plastic, as backing paper, and covered with Scotch invisible tape. I cut the whole sandwich leaving a thin stripe of Scotch tape. Now you only need to remove the backing plastic and adhere in place... In the general pics of the model it seems there is an air intake just like in the real thing -

The whiper was built using streched sprue. Cut pieces of it and glue as usual. I'm afraid I damaged mine inadvertently and finaly decided to go with the included in the kit... Did not want to starting builing another one a that point Anyway, once cleaned up and carefully painted it doesnt look any bad in my opinion... -

So kind, Mario! In fact there was no gap in mine... Maybe due to the fact I colapsed the roof, earlier in the build, I subtly changed the shape of the sidewindows... How knows...
