  1. Very nice, I’m impressed with your efforts regarding the decals & camouflage, that could easily turn into a nightmare.
  2. Very nice work.
  3. A surplus 40mm grenade ammo can (large), £10 delivered. Bit battered, still got some markings on it & no idea what I’m going to do with it.

    Prices

I recently won the bidding war for an item on eBay, a 1/35 Tamiya M577 command post if you’re interested, a fairly rare item now & I got it for a price I was happy with. The advert described it as being in the original box & never opened, on arrival it seemed that way, two yellowing bits of tape held the box closed & the contents were all sealed. All good. Putting the box back together I spied a yellow “Beatties Leeds” price tag, which is ironic as I used to spend a lot of money in Beatties in Leeds in the late 80’s & early 90’s. The price on the tag?£4.99. Yep, you read that right, £4.99. i don’t remember Tamiya kits ever being that cheap, I remember getting a Tamiya German armoured car for my birthday in 1982 & that was a big present & also my introduction into armour, so thanks Grandad. Up until then I had been an Airfix pocket money kind of lad. Anybody else had any sticker shock on old kits?
  5. This looks interesting, do you have a shelf big enough for the finished beast?
  6. Hello Folks, I’m after info about the above, it is of course based on the M113 and has a raised roof. With no current kit available in 1/35 I have a M113 that I’m going to mess on with & convert. So the required info is, what is the height of the raised roof section? Wikipedia has a height difference of 0.2 metres & I tried to do a bit of conversion into 1/35 & it made my head hurt. Anyone got one a shelf they can hold a ruler against & say what the difference is in mm? Or even just what the overall height of the M577 is from ground to top of raised roof? Thanks in advance for any help.
