  1. Good shots. My daughter went with her cadet squadron and they all came back sunburnt to hell. She told me the guys on the Netherlands F16 static were fantastic to her gang and they got to crawl over it etc and came away with a load of freebies, so thanks for that guys!
  2. THEY'RE COMING! A JSDF KC767J has been added to the static display. I have never ever ever seen a JSDF aircraft. Fantastic!
  3. Just had the breaking news tweet that the USAF are bringing a B2 for the static! I've never seen one of those in the flesh. Jack and pot!
  4. Nice shots of some good looking aircraft in great weather, I wonder if RIAT will be so "summery"?
  5. Just a little update, the cockpit and engine are in, the fuselage is closed up, little bit of scratch building, little bit of weathering, lot of filler and sanding to the bottom, here we go: Scratch building on the tail boom for the blue force tracker and at the back the GPS aerial, the Hellfire launcher is temporary while I decide what it will carry, I'm leaning towards Hellfires on both sides, but that isn't definite. As the aircraft usually flies without front doors the interior gets pretty grubby. Next job, get the windscreen on, get some paint on this thing! Thanks for looking.
  6. Yes, an A10 doing it's thing would be good. That would be a good airshow. Vulcan starting and going like they used to do at Finningley, the Phantom screaming about, a couple of F16's, the A10, maybe a Herc doing the Khe Sanh approach, a couple of Tornadoes beating up the airfield, then the BBMF, maybe a Jaguar, perhpas a Lightning if you have one handy and of course, the Red Arrows to say goodbye. I may have to go and lie down at the very thought of all that happieness. Quick addition of say a F111, maybe a B52 and a big ol' B1 Bone. Now I do have to lie down.
  7. Fantastic additions today, I can remember walking through the Galaxy years ago at Finningley. Super stuff, my only regret is that so much is static and so much of the same types flying. I know, I know, be grateful...but I would give my arm to see and hear a Phantom go vertical. It's all good!
  8. At 1730 today, flying low and slow up and down the east coast at Scarborough, a white DC 3, looked like it might have had a probe of some sort at the rear, it was about half a mile off the coast, don't know if it was fisheries or maybe pollution control, never seen it before though. Did a few circles off both north and south bays before turning west and clearing off.
  9. It's beginning to look like I don't have to get back up north quite as fast as I thought on the Monday morning. What do I get for the price of the Monday admission? Anybody know? Is it worth it? Will I see as much from the local roads if I park up? Do the local constabulary get "funny" with middle aged spotters and their older dad? Anybody.............
  10. Rishi, that'll be the Ram. A very old kit now I think. That model may well be 7 or 8 years old.
