  1. Yes new Firecrest by Akatombo to join the existing Magna kit. Only three built, but what a brutish looking fighter. I keep hoping for a a YA.7 B-54 / YB.1 B-88 series!
  2. I don't have words that cover this sort of model engineering genius - simply superb work!
  3. This should be really interesting work, and will follow intently! The photograph is interesting as it looks like a very early Venom NF.51 that the Swedish Air Force used, in fact it show just how close to a vampire that the Venom could look, based on an early NF.2 I'm thinking. They also used this version which has the same canopy and fin/rudder set up as the kit Venom NF.2A /3,
  4. Interesting, so those arms are only fitted in the air delivery role? The aircraft I've just done the walkaround has these fitted. BTW did you get the pics ok Debs?
  5. That would be a nice technical answer Tony, but it only seems to apply to early delivered aircraft, so wondering if it was a quicker way of finishing them in the factory? I think if it was deliberate camo that the demarcation line would be more obviously wavy perhaps. To get it just so I will meet the demarcation line with thinned down white. Definitely worth getting that conversion set I would say Jason!
  6. Superb rendering, and just how I would envisage it on the actual aircraft
  7. Can't see it as Kinetic are covering the family in that scale.
  8. Superb link 172flogger, gives some insight into the work and production of these kits, and resin bits in general.
  9. So far, I think the new release has hints of other models. The mass market of Airfix buyers will care not be it a D, G or H
  10. With two other B-52 kits being issued, one a brand new tooling - I can't see it
  11. Nice to see the internal tanker shots Debs.
  12. The fuselage has now been hand brush painted, I've used Humbrol Satin White and Medium Sea Grey. The scheme on the early MR.1s is a little bit unusual in that that the grey demarcation is a hard line, but looks free hand applied, ie not straight line masked. I still have to tidy up this edge a bit though. Now it's painted you can really appreciate why rearranging the cabin windows is so important. Kit canopy fits really well over both the conversion and kit parts. 13. Superb looking build there! Just fits in so well with the other 1950s prototypes.
  14. Man, you don't hang around, looking very good there!
  15. Hi Rich, I'm doing a Mk.1 conversion at the moment but won't be Zebedee, more likely an early ASWDU machine Manual looks good, would love to see any of it! Good to see you posting again
  16. I hope to god that a new 1:24 will be a jet or at least a post-war subject, so far they have all been WWII prop-driven apart from the good old Harrier/Sea Harrier. Even a 1:24 inter-war would be something, Bulldog, Hind, Gladiator etc ..and lets go mad, even a helicopter!
  17. It looks like threads have disappeared, both here and in 'Post War Aircraft' areas, unsure if its because they were duplications (I've seen about 8 threads on the Sea Fury announcement) or a site system error?
  18. Still nothing, ditch Photobucket and use Flickr, far more stable and virus safe. I still haven't seen one of these built using the AIM bits.
  19. Yep get well soon, need entertaining and my morbid curiosity satisfying!
  20. I must admit I can't spot any shape issue with the radome, and even checked it against the real thing which happens to be handy where I work. But agree with a lot of what you say above.
  21. Unless I'm miss understanding the question, the hatch and side windows appear to be flush with the fuselage skin. Do you reason to think they may not have been?
