Great photo's Smudge. Brought back a lot of memories. A friend and I spent many a Saturday sat at the end of the International Pier having caught the bus (42 I think) from Piccadilly where we crossed the registration codes off in our Civil Aircraft Registration Code books (Anoraks or what). He went on to work for BOAC and I worked for HSA at the Chadderton site.

Wow, what a lovely looking Fury. I like that a lot Mike.

That's a beauty. Stunning paint job, some serious masking there.

Nice collection of Lightnings. How was the Trumpeter one to build?
-
Cracking model Carl, you don't seem to have lost your touch during your 25 year absence.
-
That's a great looking model Mac with a lot of billiant detail.

Change of plan, will do one as a TNT freighter using the Daco (if I can find one) or the revell sheet
I have a set of TNT decals leftover from a Revell kit if they are of any use, two codes available EC-FZE and OO-TNT. The backing paper is a bit marked but they should be salvageable. PM me if you want them

That's a stunning result Vitor. I am disappointed to see that there is so much filling required to acheive the standard that you have. I have one in the stash, so it looks as though I will be busy sanding and filling - if I ever decide to tackle it.

You're all fools, it is quite clearly a fine example of Melanotaenia Boesemani, ooops wrong forum.

That looks great.  I really like this kit have done the ECR and IDS versions and will hopefully do this one soon then I have plans to do Saudi and Italian versions using the Mark One decals.
Keep going, looking forward to seeing the finished result.

That's a nice looking Hun, heat staining around the rear looks very impressive.

That's a stunning model and great diorama Al, it brings back a lot of memories for me. I did some of the Production Planning for the Mk.2's and Nimrod AEW's Rear Fuselage along with some minor Sub Assemblies while working in the Programme Planning Dept at Chadderton.

Looks great Michael, keep it going. I also like the product placement I doubt that Cubbi Broccoli could have done any better ............. .

Great stuff Dave. Looks good alongside the GR7.

That's a lovely model Libor.

Looks good Bradley. I'm tempted to start My AA version, but i must finish the kits I have had stuck in my WIP pile for most of this year.

That looks great Neal, well done. I have really enjoyed watching this build from the start.

Thanks for these little beauties John, I bought the BEA and AA examples at Telford on Sunday and they look fantastic. I am looking forward to making a start, but need to finish the Millennium Falcon for a young man who has been waiting patiently for Great-Uncle John since May.

Just picked up on this. Looks absolutely brilliant, the detail on the undercarriage legs is superb and det. cord looks great.

Great model George, I don' think you need to weather it but it is all a matter of personal taste and I have seen some very nicely weathered models on here. You could take the easy way out and argue that it has come fresh out of the paint-shop.

Struggling to find the hour or so it's going to take to fettle the ladder and finish the whole thing off I'm afraid.
I know what you mean Neal, things have ground to a halt here too. Had the 'heir to the estate' here last week so not much chance for modelling then and SWMBO is off this week with plenty of jobs lined up for me to do. It also doesn't help when you are as slow at building models as I am. Good Luck with the move by the way.
Saudi Hunter F60 (F6) - Finished
in 1:144 Scale Group Build
Posted
I have been following this GB and have been inspired to have a go if it is not to late to join in. It will be my first build as well as a first Group Build.
So I would like to submit this as my offering if it is OK with everybody.
Using these
and these decals
It would also be good practice for the F18 GB later in the year and may also be the KUTA I need to help me finish some builds that are dragging on.
