Seconded Steve at least that way it stops confusion from those who responded to the original post and should attract other builders of AFV's.

Always wanted to have a dabble at building a tracked thingy, but being a wingy thing builder I would need a lot of advice like best and easiest kit to build. So guys, should this get the nod, you can put me down as a definite maybe. BUT HEEEEEELLLLLP

E.E. Lightning Single Type Group Build
nimrod54 replied to AnonymousDFB1's topic in Future Group Build Archives
Just been checking STGB's I've committed to for next year and things are quiet in the second half so count me in for this. Not sure what with yet, but I do have a Revell 1/144th F.6 that could be a bit of fun to make. -
That looks brilliant Neal, the pencil weathering has turned out really well.

Resin cockpit for Eduard Spitfire
nimrod54 replied to McYellowbelly's topic in Ready for Inspection - Aircraft
Brilliant job it looks really neat. Having lost most of the paint off Eduards etched seat when bending it to shape I think that I will have to get a couple of sets -
Luftwaffe Tornado ECR - Revell 1/72
nimrod54 replied to Serelle's topic in Ready for Inspection - Aircraft
Wow what a great looking Tornado, a cracking paint job and very well photographed. The FOD covers are brilliant. -
Thanks for that Brian, I will give that a go. I could see from reference photos that it was a red-brown colour, but everything that I tried to mix came out to brown - probably because I was starting with a brown base.

That's a fantastic 'Cat Collection' Brian, the 41Sqdn Special looks brilliant. Could you tell me what you used to paint the gun ports. I have a retirement scheme Jaguar with gun ports unpainted at the moment because I couldn't find a suitable colour/method for doing them. Cheers

Hi Neal Just caught up with this, looks fantastic buddy.

Great job on both Brian, but I really like the Flanker.

Hi Rob, Good to see you back on with one of these. I don't think the marks are a photo artefact, if you check the link below to a photo on airliners.net they are also shown on there. Not sure what they are for though. http://www.airliners.net/photo/UK---Air/Avro-698-Vulcan/1243283/L/&sid=385064dce5ae38a262f3d4501adf96ed

Nice model Bradley, looking at your in build list there is a lot more to come yet. Which kit was it? -
ALF I have just had a quick search of the internet and the only one that I have found is on e-bay, it appears as if it is quite rare now and the example on the site has discoloured decals. It may be that someone on here has one that they are willing to part with but failing that this may be the only option. Anyway I have included the link below. Good luck with the search. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1-144-DRAGON-CF-188A-HORNET-410-COUGAR-SQUADRON-4522-ULTRA-RARE-/370683430614

nimrod54 replied to Quentin's topic in Work in Progress - Aircraft
Quentin, I have just picked up this build thread and have spent a very pleasant hour reading through it. It is an inspirational build and is an outstanding demonstration of your patience and scratch building abilities. What a beautiful model, well done. -
Airfix's new Harrier GR.1 - a build review
nimrod54 replied to Paul A H's topic in Work in Progress - Aircraft
Looks fantastic Paul. I am also going to dash now - straight down to my LMS to pick one of these beauties up and when SWMBO questions my purchase I can blame you for it. -
F-14 Tomcat II Single Type Group Build
nimrod54 replied to AnonymousDFB1's topic in Future Group Build Archives
Hey Dazz which aggressor scheme do you fancy? I have just ordered the same sheet so if you decide which one you are doing I will make up the other one on the sheet. Should be fun. Edited. 08-09-13 Probably enter with two Revell 1/144th F-14A's one off the Fighter Town Adversary sheet and the other OOB build of a VF-84 Jolly Rogers version. -
F-14 Tomcat II Single Type Group Build
nimrod54 replied to AnonymousDFB1's topic in Future Group Build Archives
Count me in on this one Dave. Bit of an overlap with the MiG 21 and Harrier STGB's but I hope it won't cause me too many problems. I'll just have to get my finger out. -

MiG-21SMT Fishbed-K, 2x RV Aircraft 1/72
nimrod54 replied to pavolSK's topic in Work in Progress - Aircraft
Fantastic job Pavol. The NMF MiG looks superb and the skills you have shown in your freehand camouflage version are outstanding, as others have said not an easy task in this scale. Just brilliant.- 27 replies
