Just reading this thread and was bemused by the comments about copyright from Parkes Decals as a quick look at his website found this statement....
'In producing colour schemes from any aircraft, vehicle's from land sea or air, carrying sponsors names or logo's Parkes682decals is not attempting to obtain any endorsement from the owners of the logo's and/or trademarks. No infringement of sponsors copyright in the trademarks or logos is intended.
Parkes682decals is not attempting to pass off any decal sheet as being an official product of these sponsors.'
Which to me sounds like a roundabout way of saying that he doesn't own the copyright either and produces the designs without official permission....so who is he to slag off Peddinghaus anyway?
Great build by the way which shows just what can be done with a relatively inexpensive kit.
Yes I noticed the bad case of pot and kettle

I feel for you mate. All that work and then it gets a battering on here. As for the copyright issues, I can't see that you've done anything wrong, you bought them in good faith from a third party that's obviously producing them commercially. If anyone's broken the rules, it's them not you.
A very nice build by the way.
I think its a terrific build I build models that are meant to be looked at from 5 feet away and if they gave me pleasure in the build that is all I ask.
Dont worry about copy write nobody s going to sue anyone just enjoy your modelling and leave the rivet counters to themselves.

I remember as a lad being apprenticed to Westlands and going up to the erecting shop to speak to my father who was a chargehand on the Lynx and sitting eating my lunch in the cockpit of these. A bit later on I was a progress chaser for the Lynx on the erecting shop and flight shed and I can remember that when production was at its hight we were producing 6 lynx a month and a couple of seakings. Love the aircraft and am doing the HAS3 but would like to get the blades to do a very early one in oxford blue with white writing. As a progress chaser with a licence to roam I was always at the paint shop when the masking came off a new customers aircraft for the first time. Happy days.

Tell me more about the helicopter collection just in case they decide to reissue them. I am out of the loop as far as the model scene over the last 20 years is concerned.

Where did you get the kit? I can only find it for greatly exaggerated prices.

There wouldn't be an aviation museum in the country that wouldn't be proud to have this build as an exhibit, well done that man.

I remember a friend telling me that when they were in the Falklands he spotted the skyhawks coming in and he said I was watching them when all of a sudden they opened fire on the ship and he thought "bloody ell this b*****d is out to kill me". My memory is not what it was but I think he person who told me this is a member of this forum. Looking forward to the build.

Thanks for the kind comments folks. I have a matchbox Chinook on the go & UH1C. Looking to source a italeri s55 type chopper but having a few problems at the moment as even king kit dont have them still living 8 miles from RNAS Yeovilton I may get lucky on the 26th of October at the model show.

As a first attempt at photo etching it is a very good effort. I cannot seem to get anywhere with photo etching it never seems to work for me but having ten thumbs does not help. Well done
