I think these are the scissors that Paolo6691 means. They are the one use only ones used by the national health service. I am a nurse HCA and we throw these away. as you can see they will do a strait clean cut on photo etch without bending. This pair came from my top pocket of my uniform and will be going back to work with me on Saturday. You could ask the local hospital in a letter if you could buy a pair they may well be amenable to the idea.

I have the Heller super puma and was going to do it as a whatif replacement for the RAF Seaking then the day I was going to get started one crashed killing 4 pob so that ended that project.

I'm doing the Italeri one how does it compare to the revell one. You have made a nice job of it.

- Correct - my mistake!!! A mixture of resin, white metal and a vacform canopy in a small box. Should make a delightful model when built.
It is a lovely kit but the canopy goes on a bit funny. Mike (who passed away this week) made it so that there was no visable join line because it joins half way down the fuselage and then the joint is blended in. It is hard to explain but it becomes clear when you see the kit. There is no resin just the white metal and plastic + the vacform canopy

I remember buying this when I was 13 (now 54) one dinner time at school. We were allowed to go down the town and after saving my money for what seemed like ages I bought it only to be caught looking at it in a lesson and having it confiscated until after school. I went to get it after lessons and the deputy head kept me waiting for so long that I missed my bus home and had to call my dad to come and get me. Lovely job you have made hope the new Italeri one is as good as the sunderland.

Looking forward to this build. Well done for choosing a subject that I remember from my childhood and I am well over 50

In the walkaround it looks like the diamonds on the squadron marking appear to be transparent and maybe illuminated from behind.
It is not something I have ever heard of but look at the pics and see if you agree with my interpretation of the pictures. Mind you it could just be me getting old and my eyesight getting worse.
Strange!!!

A subject crying out for a major manufacture to do. Lovely build but like others have said pity about the fit of the canopy but your skill has made it not obvious
