IIRC the Matchbox one can be made in to the Aussie navy aircraft which is similar to the MK1 It has both types of noses

I actually think the result is great considering the way the picture is enlarged

As an aside what program do people use for the making of the decals and is there a good tutorial anywhere on the net that could be recommended.

Thanks chaps. Airways Mk4 conversion on eBay went for £20 + p&p this week
Also did airfix do the 771 decals in anything other than the set with the paints?

As you may know the white on the sides was from the water softener used by BR. Yes they did get this dirty and they were not looked after at all well.
That said www.5542.co.uk is a small Prarie which has been restored and is in immaculate condition. Currently on the Gloucester warwick railway at Toddington.
The numbers on the side are in the wrong position but if I recall that is the fault of the instructions too .late now to do anything about it.
I think you have got the weathering spot on well done.
I collect Hornby steam locos and I will see if I have any 61XX brass plates you can have, I will have look this week.

Can anybody tell me why the Cyber hobby kit is more than twice the price of the revell seaking.

Does it come with EB or things like that.

I have looked but cannot find anything on the forums if this has been covered before please point me in the right direction

By the time I take it back mess about with car parking and the time involved I will order a set of after market decals off the net.. I have about 40 Italeri kits and this is the only one with a problem. The decals are no good for anything other than a merlin. I love Italeri helicopters but this leaves a taste in the mouth.
Kit is the RAF one.

I purchased a Merlin helicopter for £20 from a model shop and on opening I found that it had the decals missing. I emailed Italeri and they want 6 Euros for the replacements.
I paid good money for the kit and I expect it to be all there. I am a bit annoyed that they think that because they have mucked up I have to pay.
What does the panel think?

Mods if this is in the wrong place please move.

I found this out but I already have the Academy kit so I don't really wish to buy another. I have the Italeri 1/72 so could use the parts off that to use as a guide to fabricating the tanks ect in the correct scale

I have just acquired the Academy Mash Sioux bell 47 and I was wondering if there were any after market conversions for the fuel tanks and hopefully the cockpit tub.
The kit has the saddle tank and I was looking for the far more common twin tanks. I cant find anything on Google.
I know that the boom is to small to make a UK chopper but there are loads of colour schemes out there for this lovely little helicopter. Any hepl appreciated

You have done the kit proud. The airfix ground equipment will as you say bring it to life. This is about the best Wimpy I have seen.
